I enjoyed it but not as much as I had hoped.

In hindsight, the story that was built up in Kingsglaive was way more fascinating than anything in the game. I found the Leviathan fight for instance ridiculous.

Chapter 13 on the other hand... people keep mentioning it without any explanation. What was sooooo wrong with 13?

I really liked the game. I spent around 180 hours playing it.

- The combat was excellent, except when there were too many enemies, then it was chaotic.
- It wasn't particularly easy at times (which is good), but it was always forgiving, providing you had enough Phoenix Downs, which can make a "won" battle feel unearned if you "win" just by being persistent and not by being good. .
- The above said, considering that sometimes they throw you too many enemies too keep track of and dodge them all succesfully, maybe it was necessary, but in my opinion it tells of a not so well balanced battle design.
- Sidequests until your heart is content.
- ^ There's not really a reward for doing them all, unless the feeling of being a completionist.
- ^ Underwhelming amount of trophies. So many trophies that could have been implemented (doing all sidequests, reching level 99 with all chars, getting all recipes, having fished every fish, doing those mysterous and OMG long dungeons, reaching rank 10 in hunting, etc, etc, etc.)
- ^ I platinumed it, but I feel like I don't deserve it.
- Beautiful and large open world, best open world I've roamed in a game, IMO.
- ^ Still, I would have enjoyed a bit more diversity, maybe a snowy area and 1 more city, at least.
- ^ Would like all those invisible walls gone, tho, specially those in the air around all the area of lestallum and the vesperpool that made me crash while trying to land near there.
- The plot's pace felt rushed. I am of the opinion that the movie should have been sacrificed and to give a much better intro to the game.
- Still loved the characters, though. But, IMO, there wasn't enough time spent on Luna with Noctis.
- Would have liked way more of chocobo racing.
- ^ Best chocobo controlss in the series, IMO. And that music tho, when running and when walking.
- Dat music. Final Fantasy got me interested in orchestral music and, damn, this entry didn't dissapoint.
- I'm confused about how I feel about the ending, I still cried.
- The bros, the bromance, I think they pulled it off very well.
- It could do with a bit less cheesy dialog, but it's Final Fantasy, so what are we going to do.
- Graphics, amazing, except for one or 2 big textures seen from afar.
- etc, etc, (more praises, more complaints).

All in all with its flaws, I had a great time with this games. 180 or so hours of fun and wonder. Don't regret it, would buy again, will play again after the major updates and looking forward to the DLC.

A flawed masterpiece, IMO, if that makes sense.

I enjoyed it, but I have high standards for a FF game. Much better then most of the other games released nowadays, but that is of course just my opinion.

2 things really annoyed me though. Bug on 2nd to last boss, that wasted over 30 minutes of my time. Bug on Final boss.

I was skeptical at first, but Final Fantasy XV turned out to be the best mainline Final Fantasy game since 2010. (Not counting sequels like Lightning Returns.)

On a second thought, I think now that XIII is better XD.

I am enjoying it. I will be honest that I am not enjoying the story because I am more focused with the quest. lol.
Doing hunts and the side quest from the people. Locating those Royal arms is also satisfying. I wish they provided more weapons that we can find. I am almost at 100 hours.

For me the story became 2nd here.

Always interesting to see peoples' responses to this question! I put about 50hrs into the game so far, but I intend to go back and do a bunch of post-game stuff now that I've finished the main story. I enjoyed the game quite a bit overall, it was very beautifully presented with great music and amazing visuals, very enjoyable to explore in that respect.

I wish SE didn't make Chapter 13 the way they did though ... That was a major blow to it for me. Overall though, I really enjoyed the game. I also wish they just kept going with using the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythology, as there are some serious gaps/obvious linkages to the original story line, which shouldn't have been removed or changed. This way, as someone who has played the XIII Trilogy, it seems a bit awkward and messy, since I can see the originally intended parallels/common elements between the games.

PROS for me
-Loved the world.
-Enjoyed the characters and their interactions whilst exploring
-I thought fishing was good
-battle system was quite bland but some how I didn't mind it.

CONS for me
-The story, it felt so unfinished and also like cutscenes we're missing.
-Luna, it seems like she was going to play a massive part in the story but in the end she almost felt pointless.

Overall I really enjoyed it but it seemed like there was lost potential for it to be great and be up there with the elite FF games. It was as if there was a bit of passion and interest lost from the developers so rushed it in parts.

It's in my top 3 in the series, but I don't think I really need a sequel for it.

No need for a sequel. The story feels a bit incomplete, but it's more about how some characters and other things are handled. The story has a clear beginning and ending, it's what happens between them that needs work.

And to answer the question, I did really enjoy the game. The sidequests were a bit dull and I wish the battle system had more depth (and the story felt like it could've used some more work like I said) but other than that, I really loved the game.

I did, a lot. Game needed some work in some parts but it was great
