They'll announce it at a later date iirc Smash isn't that big in Japan so it makes sense non to talk about it in the presentation, plus, when you show your new hardware you really don't want to show only ports from your previous system. It's coming, Bandai likely has already finished it, they're just waiting the right time to drop the bomb on us

1st world problems may look trivial to some, but a man has needs that must be addressed. Also, Nintendo is holding back the release of the Bayonetta amiibo for the Smash Switch release. For a amiibo collector, this is unacceptable.

I know this is not a concern for 98% of people, but how reliable is the wireless connection even going to be with the Switch Pro Controller? I speak from experience that playing Smash tournaments with the Wii U Pro Controller I sometimes get lag and weird inputs, and that's in medium-sized tournaments with few wireless controllers around. That could be a huge issue on a big tournaments if everyone is playing with the same wireless controller.

Well there are at least one wired controller coming. I think it was from Hori.

But their are millions of people who never bought a Wii U that will end up owning a Switch. And many of those people will see the game as a brand new Smash.

Is there a reason people expected a Smash announcement other than just wanting it? Because if no, stop worrying for no reason.

@OP: I was expecting to see it at launch, but I guess they just didn't have it ready. Still crossing my fingers that we'll get it this year, though!

I agree.

I actually bought Smash for WiiU. Hell, I've bought every Smash but I've only ever liked the one for Wii because of the co-op story mode. I traded the rest in (except 4 3DS). I don't like the series very much but even I can see that this is a game they need to release sooner rather than later.
