Exactly! Adding a health bar would entirely change a regular Mario Kart race into, more or less, a battle mode.

So you're saying being able to permantly remove other players during a Mario Kart race wouldn't be a big change in gameplay? Guessing you haven't thought about what happens when that health bar hits empty! But it's okay, baby steps...

Of course I have. 1. It never gets empty, 2. If you get hit a lot you're losing the race anyway.
