its bad, the only one i'm hyped about buying for the switch is sonic mania.

I'm guessing you've never owned Nintendo hardware and have no interest in any of their IPs then if thats the case.

On the contrary, I own every console and handheld since the nes.

Reggie has stated that there are 80 games in development for Switch. So, that's your maximum library size at 3 years into the Switch's life. At 3 years, the Xbone and PS4 had much larger libraries than that. If you add to that the fact that many of those games are reboots and updates of older games, the library doesn't sound very impressive.

Of course, if Ninty can deliver 3 big games, plus maybe 4-5 smaller, but still good titles per year, that may be enough to keep the system afloat.

Wut?He sadi that there are over 80 titles in development AT THE MOMENT.What it means that at this moment, those are the titles comming to the Switch, not those are all titles comming to it.Nothing stops developers from porting/developing more games to it.Not to mention that there are many games that take less than three games to develop.

I dont quite believe it since you are not excited for any Nintendo game shown so far, but oh well, that just shows that there are tastes for everything.

For example, I like Metroid and yokai watch, what about the launch year do I have to be excited for?

You or anyone are free to 'call me out' on console ownership though, it just won't end like you'd expect.

Im not "calling you out" or really criticizing, I was just stating out my opinion about your opinion. As its fair for you to say that the console the console has a bad launch lineup, it is also fair to ask why you arent excited for it.I personally think its a valid question, since the console is getting a Mario, Zelda, Splatoon, Xenoblade, etc all in its first year, and it is to be expected a person who owned all Nintendo consoles to be exited about it.Wouldnt you agree?

I find myself in the middle ground. On one hand I've owned every Nintendo consoles (other than the gamecube and Virtual boy), handheld, and ds, 3ds etc since the NES.

I'm not that hyped though. I'm curious about some of the games - but not to any real hype degree.

I will use your 4 games as examples. Mario. I'm not the biggest 3d Mario fan. Sunshine was fantastic so I am quite curious about this game. But all I saw was a trailer. So I can't be "that' hyped".

I lost interest in Zelda around the N64 era. I even bought a 3ds to play OOT and I just couldn't finish it. I gave a "a link between worlds" a shot but it was annoying hunting downthings. Like catching the thief to get the shoes, and catching all those frogs(were they frogs, I can't remember).

Splatoon never held interest for me. Very short single player. The co-op didn't look fun. I don't like "group" multiplayer games that much. I don't care for overwatch either.

Then we reach xenoblade. The first one was good. I played it over at afriends, and watched him play a large chunk of it. As opposed to the wii U version? Hated it. Absolutely hated it. Mega loathed it. Couldn't stand it.

So if it learns toward the original Xenoblade - I'm intrigued. The other way? I will run far far away.

Fair enough. And thats the answer I wanted.Everyone has different tastes and expectations.Im actually the oposite, outside of Splatoon 2(I agree that is a good game, but without a solid single player, there isnt that much for me personally), but its ok when people dont like the same things I like.

I just dont like when people insinuate Im trying to downplay someone just because I like Nintendo fans and Im defending the Switch in most aspects, especially when those same persons dont even try to be positive about it, when there is something to be positive about.

Why is it to be expected?, Splatoon didn't exist last gen, Xenoblade was a niche franchise from the start, Zelda and Mario have never interested me, and yet up until the WiiU, all previous Nintendo consoles have had a wide enough range of games to have enjoyed without the stereotypical set.

I didn't enjoy xcx, I found it to be a boring grind-a-thon, very reminiscent of a forgettable MMO.

I've never completed a single Mario or Zelda title despite trying multiple times, and each time I failed it was through exhaustive boredom , the WiiU was the first Nintendo home console I have regretted buying at launch, and still in a way regret buying now, and from what I see the switch is going to end up extremely similar, in a few years from now I'll likely regret buying it too, but hey, at least I'm buying it to give it a chance.

It is to be expected because many of Nintendo biggest games are releasing this year, and it is to be expected that the early adopters like those kind of games. It is an educated guess. And it dosent matter if a game is niche or is a new IP, if they are highly rated  by gamers, then it is fair to expect that again, early adopters, have an interest in these games, or some of them. And those four games were examples, more games are releasing on the Switch.I actually never expected for you to like all of them, I personally have no strong feeling for Splatoon 2, and thats why I was asking you, a person who wishes to get a Switch, why it is buying a console that basically holds little interest on it.I cant read your mind.

So, back to the conversation, just Sonic Mania? No Sonic 2017?Or yre you waiting for more information on it?
