Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo: There is too much confusion about anything!

It's Wii U all over again, do they ever learned . Sigh , I think they need to learn from SONY how to market it right, but then again it's Nintendo. Nintendo company need some Meiji Restoration revolution LOL.

I don't see what's so confusing this time around. It's a console that you can also use as a handheld. People get it. With Wii U it wasn't that much clear if it was a Wii accesory or if the Gamepad was the actual console.

Yeah, I feel there is some info left out that should have been addressed, like what will be available on the Eshop day 1, and what the UI will look like, but I think they covered most of the important stuff. They could release some additional info in between the time now and the switch launch. I don't think talking further about the online aspects is important, since the service will be free until fall, so it's not something important right now. I think they did they best they could with the Switch reveal.

Seriously Nintendo, just tell your customers what they want to know!

- voice chat, matchmaking/lobbies only via smartphone

-online multiplayer fee - u got one Snes game for a month

- no normal controller bundled,

- underpowered as a home console

-overpriced as a handheld.

What do you mean with that? The normal controller are the joycons and the joycon grip.

I was hoping for a ND some time before the actual reveal - just to get this stuff out of the reveal. Didn't expect them to take their time to talk about the online part, VC, UI and whatever needs to be talked about.

Now, my guess is we will see a ND before the end of the month. Later than that is just pushing it.

I think I'm pretty much clued up on the whole Switch situation and the pricing and game situation looks awful but I guess one area I'm a bit confused about it is how much the new HD feedback adds to gameplay, it could be a small improvement or large improvement. I really don't know at this stage. However even if good I don't think it can justify the pricing for me as I don't need a portable that size and I wouldn't pay anything close to the prices of most Switch games.

I don't think Nintendo themselves have finalized how that would work so they are still being a bit secretive about it but it really is confusing :/

You didn't  read the OP did you? Marketing is not about telling what product you want to sell.
