When you remove the controller too. |
PS Vita was $250 and $300 at launch (yikes!).
The home version was $100. You could buy that and a PS4 controller ($60) and still not pay full Vita price.
Unless I'm missing something, Nintendo could do the same. I'm of the "full experience" camp, though. I want the option of portability and $300 is a fair price, IMO.
A Switch that would be only the dock with the console's hardware inside and a Pro controller instead of the joycons for $200 230 €... yes, please.
Please excuse my bad English.

Nope. I love portable consoles! I even bought a Vita - twice!

By the time the Vita TV launched, the Vita was already down to $200. The savings weren't significant. |
Lot of variables. I mean, what if you already had a PS3 or PS4? You could just use what you already had. And if Nintendo went this route, who says they had to do it now? They could wait a year.
To be honest, I don't even know what I'm defending. I guess, that there's a possibility and all of those "It costs too much" or "I don't want a portable" people could finally shut up.
Then again, the Vita (with its abysmal fist party support) wasn't a success. Maybe a non portable Switch would just follow suit.
Yes, but it would be to supplement my actual Switch.
One just as weak as the Switch? No. One as powerful as competing home consoles? Sure.
