Forums - Nintendo - (Rumor) LA noire Switch remaster incoming?

Well ... I prefer a Gta 5 or Max Payne 3 but it's okay

SteamMyAnimeList and Twitter - PSN: Gustavo_Valim - Switch FC: 6390-8693-0129 (=^・ω・^=)

If true this makes me think that there's some validity to the conspiracy theory that third parties put out doomed games on Nintendo hardware just so they have an excuse not to support it anymore.

How are people not done with Switch rumors?

Nintendo's evil genius plan: marketing by keeping things under wraps and it doesn't cost them a dime. Forums will just be filled with Nintendo threads.

A game that couldnt make money on ps3/xb360 and hasnt received a ps4/xb1 versión yet. Yeah sure

Was this game unsuccessful on ps3/360?

Well, if this is true and LA Noire bombs on the Switch then Rockstar could just use that as their excuse not to bring GTA or RDR2 to it.

That's the first thing I thought when I saw this rumor (if it's true).  Kind of reminds me of EA and ME3 on the Wii U for some reason even though the situations for both are different.

Yeah, I hate when companies try to use and old port of a game on a new system as any sort of metric as to how the rest of their games will sell and whether they should put them on the system too, it's so dumb and makes no sense.

"We don't know how much our new games coming out might sell on this new system, so let's port a years old game that everyone has played at this point and is nothing special on this new system and see how much that sells then decide".

-Game bombs because it's old and everyone played it a long time ago.

"Oh man, our old ported game that, again everyone played years ago, DIDN'T sell well on it? Guess that means our future games won't either, so don't bother bringing them".

Same could be said with Skyrim Remastered on the Switch, I think if that game bombs on the Switch, especially since it's not even close to launch, then possibly Bethesda isn't gonna bring anymore future games to it such as maybe the next Elder Scrolls or Fallout after that. I think they would have been better off porting Fallout 4 honestly, at least that games not too old.

I could see it maybe being from a developers perspective something like "Oh, well we don't wanna spend a lot of money on this system since who knows if it will sell well so let's just port something that won't cost that much money for now and see from there", but it's still dumb imo since that's not a good basis at all for whether they should bring future games or not.

I hope i'm wrong, since Nintendo having both Bethesda and Rockstar support would be fantastic, but only time will tell.

I hope eventually if companies want to 'test the waters' on a new system they can at least put a new game on it instead of just using an older port.

I hope not cause if Rockstar uses LA Norie to judge how it's sales would be on the Switch for its future franchises, that would not be a good thing.

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Making a port for this rather than GTA 5 or even the First read dead redemption, is quite a stupid decision.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

I'm somewhat hopeful with Skyrim, if just becaues it is far enough away from Breath of the Wild that they won't do an imitation of the 2016 shooter underselling disaster.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Well as far as I know, it is the last game made by that studio even when it sold 5m+
