Probably waiting for E3 to come. It will be a Ps4-Switch multiplat, I bet.

Doubt with all my guts that Nintendo will let the MH exclusivity slip.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

There was this conference thingy several months ago in Japan with Capcom where they talked about how they wanted to make MH bigger in the West while they praised PlayStation for some sales about one of their games or something.

My bet is that PlayStation will get MH.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Why would a Monter Hunter game be announced at E3? lol..

They've gotta save some stuff for E3. Seems like they saved quite alot, Monster Hunter, Beyond Good and Evil 2, Pikmin 4, Retro's next game, Pokemon Stars, Mario RPG x Rabbids, etc.

I don't know why they would need to do that. THey showed with 2015 and 2016 that they don't really care about E3, and it would make more sense to hype people up earlier to prevent lower sales at first and the abandonment of the console by third-parties. Unless the games are far from completion, I can understand why they'd wait in that case.

I don't know why at this point people still have hopes for something big from Nintendo during e3.

Something big from Nintendo during e3 should come as a surprise at this point, still possible, but unlikely. e3 feels like an afterthought to Nintendo.

Monster Hunter XX releases 18th March for 3DS.

They can`t announce a Switch release for Monster Hunter now since that would absolutely destroy sales of the 3DS game. They could have ported it to Switch too... and maybe we`ll even get a surprise announcement still, but otherwise that`s a definite mistake on Nintendo`s part.

It's not Nintendo's fault that Capcom releases a new monsterhunter every six months.

you're being optimistic.

There is no logical reason Nintendo would potentially save the MAJORITY of the biggest announcements of games coming later this year (or even next) all for E3 rather than their big launch presentation.

I mean at the launch presentation NOTHING new was brought up and nothing came close to a Monster Hunter/ BG&E 2, Pikmin 4, a new Retro game, Pokemon Stars.

there is no way those are coming this year.

although I totally agree with the OP, it seemed like an obvious an easily attainable thing for Capcom/Nintendo to release a Monster Hunter game near launch on the Switch. Bridge the cap of handheld-to home console by having that available. its bizarre

I want Metroid

No, but it is Nintendo`s fault if they didn`t get Capcom to make a Switch version of it too...

And what does Capcom get out of it? Why sell a MH with actual new textures and better graphics (tons of work) on a console with 0 units sold?

Seems more profitable to sell anothey samey MH on a 60+ million consoles.

Hell even gamefreak made Black/White 2 on the DS years after the 3DS was released.

Retro's next game probably doesn't exist. I have a strong feeling that employees there only shoot pool all day after refining their Cranky Kong models.
