I can't see it succeeding at this price point. I was much more impressed with the wii u reveal which at least at the beginning showed a huge amount of titles were going to be available. This is actually much worse. Dead man walking basically. I suspect pre-orders will be quite low.

Almost seems like a concept designed to milk their loyal userbase of as much money as possible rather than be a mainstream product. Some of those accessory prices?!

What's annoying is the online subscription with bonus virtual console games. I subscribe to xbox live and psn but get many great games, I have ps3, ps4, vita, 360 and xbone. So can play every game they offer each month. Fantastic value and the online bit is a bonus to that really. Nintendo's online offers virtual console games which I don't need or use so for me I won't be subscribing so there is no online function for me on Switch. Also with only a small selection of games available and multiformat games being better on other formats it hardly seems worth subscribing anyway.

It seems unrealistic to do a subscription service when there is little online content.

What's really annoying is subscription for one game per month and only for that one month as well as online lobbies and chat via smartphone...

I think you're right, or at least I understood it the same way. But thank god for that, there is no other way than an official subscription-based app to talk to other players, so everyone will be happy to pay for this! :)

Seems like Switch will have a hard road ahead....
