Never remember they making any real risk besides the one you mentioned... on IP for the OEMs I can only think of Sony making real risks all the time.

Same here, I don't play MP unless it's couch colaborative, so I'll stick with Sony for the IPs I like and for Co-op I have to go Nintendo.
