Forums - Sales - Video Game Console sales since first generation.

Does anybody have a chart that shows the increases and decreases of console sales, all the way back to the first generation-now? I would like to study it. Thank YOu

I think you would have to make it yourself, try wiki for some of the older consoles. (and any other missing from here like jaguar which is supposedly in the 64bit gen)

Yeah I will make one myself. I will just take the lifetime sales of each console then make a chart with that.

I have no idea how you would find one. Lifetime sales you should be able to get from VGChartz, Wikipedia etc but sales fluctuations over time would be really difficult. I also doubt data was tracked back in the 80's and 90's.

Manchester United 2008-09 Season - Trophies & Records

Barclays Premier League 2008-09: 1st // UEFA Champions League 2008-09: Finals (Yet To Play) // FIFA Club World Cup: Winners // UEFA Super Cup: Runners-up // FA Cup: Semi-Finals // League (Carling) Cup: Winners // FA (Charity) Community Shield: Winners
Records: First British Team To Win FIFA Club World Cup, New Record for No. Of Consecutive Clean Sheets In Premier League, New English & British League Records for Minutes Without Conceding, New Record For Going Undeafeated In Champions League (25 games ongoing), First British Team To Beat FC Porto In Portugal, First Club To Defeat Arsenal At The Emirates In European Competition, First Team In English League Football History To Win 3 Titles Back To Back On Two Seperate Ocassions

^ All I wanted was the lifetime sales for all of the consoles of said generation. I just wanted to see how the video game industry has expanded.

Only 1.35 million? I should have kept mine. Didn't know it was so rare.

There has been some new information since I last compiled the older consoles and it seems the 3DO sold ~2 million.  Not sure if that changes your view on its rarity or not.

I also updated a few others.
