I didn't realize that this game dated all the way back to 2014.

Began development in 2013 and got announced at E3 2014

before Bayonneta 2 was released

I find it very sad. But good news has it for me personally: I do not need an Xbox anymore. And "Nier Automata" of Platinum games will appear in March (PS4) and this will surely be a hit :) "Scalebound" fans should take a look at "Nier Automata". And then have fun.

Game never looked that impressive anyway, plus PlatinumGames is pretty overrated when it comes to developers.

I never played one of their game so that's kinda what I thought. But after playing the Nier Automata demo, I'm really hyped for it.

Good difference between Nier and Scalebound, Nier has been announced a year after Scalebound, and will be the only one releasing. Scalebound was most likely announced way too early.

SONY is NOT gonna step in and save this.

They already have have Hideo Kojima and Death Stranding on their hands.

Brace yourselves.

I think 3 years should be the threshold for any game anouncement and release.

As far as I know Death Stranding dosen´t even have a complet studio working on it.

Xbox One Where are the games?

Look at the year 2017 Playstation 4 has with exclusives, tons and tons of games.

Things where already looking grim (game wise) for the xbox, before scalebound was canned.
This would hurt me if I was a xbox one user.

1st party for home consoles this gen is trash.

MS: Cancel announced games
Sony: Delay, Delay, Delay
Nintendo: Move to Switch.

Makes the delays seem less impactful, when gamers today can actually play The Last Guardian.

Well to be fair it makes more sense to cut things out quick when they`re going bad rather than letting it fester for years.

Too bad MS, unlike Sony, don`t have enough to cover for it.

The game's been in development for 3 years.

Ikr?

Scalebound only got the attention it got because of its exclusivity status. The game looked like shit, and it ran like shit. I can't believe the news is upsetting this many gamers.

But it's hardly upsetting anyone. Most in here only feign interest in order to follow it up by saying that now there's no reason to buy an Xbox One anymore.

I didn't wait for scalebound to be cancelled to tell people that.
