Forums - Sony - PS4: Horizon Zero Dawn (New Footage)

I'd advise people to stay out of this thread. Just trust me on this one.

This might be the first truly must have 1st party PS4 exclusive for me. The Witcher influences on the gameplay are obvious and I love Witcher (Guerilla brought in some CD Projeckt devs to help with the game if I remember correctly). I loved the robot dinosaur designs ever since the very first leak like 2 years ago. The graphics are excellent, especially on PS4 Pro. The soundtrack seems fitting for the game's setting, clear tribal influences.

The Witcher combat looks boring, and Horizon combat looks sick.
Don't see much influence from it there, unless you mean other stuff like riding, or dunno.

Lead mission writer of the Witcher 3 is working Horizon.

So? He came quite late to the party, btw, also, to work on missions, not gameplay mechanics, and even if he had, it just doesn't look like Witcher, at all.

I'm just assuming his reference, i never said it did look like it.

They hired the cinematics designer, technical designer and quest designers of Witcher 3 and lead writer of Fallout New Vegas, basically best parts of each game. They hired a bunch of veterans from other big games too.

They have built an A team.

Except for the combat, which they is inspired by Monster Hunter which is like the best thing to be inspired by. Stay away from Witcher 3 combat. :)

Horizon has been in development since 2011.

That's lovely. Still, 22 months is almost 2 years in development team - it's unbelieveable he will not have any impact on the project.

Still, care to show where did I say something like that in the bold?
