Thats three handhelds in one house! Yet for a home console is more common to share and have one in the lounge that the whole family shares. I where am i heading with this? I think its more impressive when a home console sells more as i believe that its at a disadvantage |
They're also usually launched for $100+ cheaper ($150 gap between PS4 and 3DS, $230 if you count the price cut it got early on), they're games are usually cheaper, and they appeal more to casuals. Granted, the casual appeal has diminished greatly this gen, but it's still there to some degree.

It'll b interesting to see how much longer it takes to outsell the 3DS. My guess is it should do it by the end of this year. Then maybe a 1 1/2-2 years after that to pass 100M.
