You guys are very confused. The word "Moderator" in moderator thread refers to our moderators, not the ones on Resetera XD.

Comparisons and contrasts to the mod climate from other sites have been brought up in the past on a few occasions. I think a mod here even brought up IGN and Gamespot very recently. But if you're low-key asking for that to stop, I'm certainly not gonna argue. Unless somebody wants to respond here, or in a PM, if that's what's necessary, I'm done anyways.

Eh... I mean if it's really essential to proving a point about our mods, it'd be fine, but I think at this point it's more about their policies.  Which is a perfectly fine thing to discuss, but I don't feel like this is the place personally.

VgChartz has way better mods than Gamewise.co

Also better than pornhub... they're a bit too lenient over there.

It's not essential, but it's been done, and there's merit to the action IMO. While I did go off the rails a bit in making my point, the crux of the post was that I appreciate what the mods here bring to the table. If you were able to access my history on this topic, you might even think I was something of an ass kisser. But, nothing I've said has been unfounded. The various teams here have been consistently good. I've only contested one of my bans, and due to the fact that I explained my point, and mods actually knew me well enough, my grotesque post, which featured an execution with exploding, electrocuted testicles, was overturned. True story.

I've been sick in bed with Covid for the past week.

Could someone enlighten me on what I missed?

Fixed for accuracy. "We" implies mutual agreement. Interesting how you're still supposedly open to discussing it through PM, but not in this public thread. Where it's discussed doesn't change the fact that according to you, the discussion will go on endlessly without resolution.

I’ve been nice about it with you, but stuff like this isn’t going to help the situation and it won’t slide again. Sure, this thread was created to discuss moderations or moderator action, but it doesn’t give you (or anyone else) a platform to twist words or come at moderators in a way that will only lead to things being escalated.

You didn't comment on my main point, that you still want to discuss a discussion you ended just as long as it's through pm. I certainly think this would make for an interesting discussion even if it doesn't get a concrete resolution, but fine, write it off as an escalation attempt, imply yet again that I'm only interested in getting a rise out of people. I guess I can live with this.

You accuse me of twisting words, which yes I did in a literal sense, but I didn't twist them into something untrue, that's what matters. I only did so because you were trying to twist the situation into something that sounded favorable despite not being reality. Doing such a thing definitely wont help the situation, I don't think people like being told they agreed to something when they didn't. I certainly don't, that's why I felt the need to respond.

As for coming at moderators, I mean that is on you to decide if that's how you're gonna see it. I guess I could just never question or criticize you, but that'd be lame. Sure I could definitely be nicer about it, though I think I have restrained myself well enough given the offenses towards me, but that's my obviously biased opinion of course. Still I'll try not to come off as hostile in the future, even if that is unfortunately my honest true self. I've learned that only gives reason for people to not address my arguments which isn't what I want.

After catching up with recent posts, i'd just like to thank the people from the other team for going to bat for me. Maybe you're not all as evil as I thought you were.

Hate to disappoint Jessikapi Fletcher and Lieutenant Rolumbo but they came to the wrong conclusion.
The 'enlightened' comment was ironic but I don't blame the Sony fans for reporting me. I get how sarcastic praise for a market that doesn't buy XB can be easily misinterpreted on the internet.

As for Mr 'ImcancellingmySwitchpreorderbecause$300istooexpensiveforaNintendohomeconsoleandhandheldsoillwaitforapricedrop'accusing others of launch price delusion, I'll take that as a compliment.

To the mods/site admin - what's the deal with giving me badges/achievements? Are you trying to get me permabanned?

To further our ability to help you when you report a post, please help us by clearly stating the forum violation. Snarky remarks, metaphors, etc...just make it more difficult to address your issue. Please do not use the comment box as a place to vent or retort. It doesn't help.

The issue I have with that is - I/We are not the judges of what is a forum violation.

I typically report something because I think it may violate the a rule but I'm not sure. So if nothing happens I assume it wasn't violating one.

Plus what happens when something violates a rule - but not the rule you think?

The forum rules should give a pretty good guideline of what is and isn't worth reporting.

We're not saying that you have to be 100% sure something is a moderation before you could report it.  If that were the case, then you could just moderate the posts yourself, and we could cut out the middle man.  But, at the same time there should be some kind of rational basis.  If you're reporting a comment that's kind of borderline, that's fine.  If you're reporting a comment where there's no apparent reason, or simply as an excuse to complain that someone said something you don't like (even though it's not a violation) that's problematic.

Also, explaining why a post is a violation gives us context.  If there is a comment that is marked as "trolling" but it doesn't seem like trolling at first glance, we can look through the previous posts to figure out why it may be trolling in that context.  On the other hand, if you don't give us anything to go on, and we don't see anything that immediately seems like a violation, we're probably not going to go hunting for a reason with no idea what we're looking for.

If something is reported we'll generally look at the post, and if something jumps out at us that's not the stated reason for moderation, we'll still take action.  It's not like if you say something is flaming and it's actually trolling we're just going to ignore it.

I would like to ask to stop namecalling certain forumusers in a negative way in threads like US Politics,i get that it can be frustrating to never have someone agreeing with your logic but speaking about them with other users in that very same thread is really unconstructive because you alienate them from the community and they will mostly grow even more defensive about their arguments.

Don't worry, Snoopy will stay with us.

No need to speak for him/her,what worries me the most is the recurring practice and not necessarily isolated cases.
