I don't mean just a little, but a large section of their target audience?

Super bowl ads are super expensive.

I guess they could be aiming at the kids watching football with their parents?

The Super Bowl is a unique football game in that it attracts a lot of people who normally do not watch football. I think estimates put the audience for the Super Bowl at well over 100 million people for the USA alone. Entire families watch the event.

Rolstop has a good point, plus the ads during the Superbowl aren't just adds. They get looked at and reviewed on television days afterwards, and are often where you see a lot of big movie adverts.

And a lot of things have been advertised at the bowl. I recall at one point a MLP commercial. And I think there are more overlaps with Nintendo fans and football fans than bronies and football fans personally.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Yes! They should!

Pocky Lover Boy!

Of course they should show it, it would be huge for Switch and they shouldn't just show Zelda of course but the many games coming to Switch.

The amount of Zelda avatars is too damn high!

Definitely should. Would be a great advertising strategy.

Depends on how much money X how much prople you reach, since it would be a very expensive ad for just one country, but yeah, I think they should. If there is a time to in guns blazings, this is it.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Yes they should. I don't think it's any secret that Breath of the Wild has a lot of things working for it, mainly that it seems to take a lot of inspiration from huge open world Western RPGs in the amount of things you can do in the open world sandbox. But I think they should show more games - I can't recommend which games they should show additionally until the January 12th event.

It would be cool if it they got a Super Bowl ad for the Switch, but knowing them, who knows...

I think there should be a Switch superbowl ad and Zelda should have its own ad. It would make sense since Zelda will also be on the WiiU.

Actually that wouldn't make any sense, that would be twice the cost and on top of that Nintendo want to advertise Breath of the Wild as a primarily Switch game, they want people to go get the most current system to play the game.
