fact is: The PS4 Pro seems to be sold out in many, many countries. America, UK, Germany, france.. many stores have no PS4 Pro. I think exact sales figures will be called later. In my opinion: If the PS4 Pro is available again, it makes more sense to call exact sales figures :)

As usual, Microsoft will not name any sales figures, I think.

The pro is nowhere close to being sold out in America.

And why is the PS4 Pro regularly sold out on Amazon.com (USA)? Just like in many Saturn and Media Markt stores in Germany. Also on Amazon.fr the PS4 Pro is often no longer available. Also Sony said that they have bottlenecks - with the PS4 Pro & PlayStation VR

Do we have new PS4 numbers?

Let me also throw this out. IIRC,all PS4 games moving forward are required to be in 1080p. So it's not like Sony should release numbers to encourage developers to support the Pro. But I wonder if releasing numbers will encourage developers to go beyond this to take more advantage of the hardware.

I wonder.

Most people I know don't have 4K TVs, still have 7th gen consoles, or are still waiting for the regular consoles to lower in price. I think the people in the market for a Pro or a Scorpio are a limited audience. For the masses, I think PS3/360 quality is good enough.

I think people need to keep in mind that neither the Pro nor Scorpio are going to sell like new consoles.

I mean, think about what the PS4 offered over the PS3 compared to what these half steps offer over what we already have. New UI, new controllers, better geometry, rending techniques, animations, lighting, ect. The Pro and Scorpio are really just offering better resolutions, and some better lighting and textures.

Which goes back to what I've been saying this whole time. We won't see huge visual upgrades until they stop supporting the PS4 and Xbox One.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Did we all miss this?

http://gamingbolt.com/amazon-reveals-list-of-highest-selling-video-game-hardware-accessories-and-games-ps4-tops-the-charts

Amazon.com (US) reported the sales for 2016, the PS4 Pro standard edition outsold any other XBox One S bundle released.

The Original XB1 that was available during the entire year is not even mentioned.

Regarding the OP, Sony just reported sales on December, be patient, the PS4 is doing very well.

There's incentive to buy both slim and pro. If Sony was worried about sales with the pro I think they would have waited longer to release the slim or wait to release the pro a year later. Pro and Slim are meant to coincide with one another. Just like the games that work for both.

PS Quad Pro wasn't meant to replace the PS Quad. It's for those that wants that premium experience on a 4K TV.

I think MS should just market it as a full blown XBox One successor.

Why not? 250 GFLOPS to 1.3 TFLOPS is approximately 5x greater leap, 1.3 TFLOPS to 6 TFLOPS is virtually the same increase in processing power.

Make it upgradable so you can spec match whatever Sony does for PS5.

^ this.

All this hype for the Scorpio, might just amount to nothing.

If it comes out at 499$, its going to be selling less than the PS4pro is (I think).

The PS4 slim & Xbox One slim, will still be the most selling versions of the consoles.
