Forums - Gaming - BioWare has revealed how Mass Effect Andromeda is shaping up on PS4 and Xbox One in terms of resolution and frame rate.

Last I checked, we were like other Frostbite games on PS4 and XBox One – 1080p and 900p respectively. All are at 30 fps. PC has uncapped frame rate. I think we’ve even gotten over the 30 fps cap in cutscenes, but I’ll double-check in the next couple of weeks.”

really really looking forward to this game.

as for the res, 1080p is standard on the PS4. nothing surprising here. the game looks fantastic though, such a huge improvement from last gen Mass Effect games, they really bring out the great art style.

Standard. No cloud, no Direct X 12 will change that.

PS4 900p
XB1 720p

I heard.

Can anyone explain why cutscenes are so often capped at 30 and why it's apparently such trouble to uncap them?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

How about the PS pro ?

upscaled 4k at 30fps or supersampling at 1080p at 30fps. This is the standard thing for ps4 pro.

Wonder how it's shaping up on PC, especially since Nvidia is meant to be showing some new gameplay soon, which sounds like they have some involvement from their end. If they want me to purchase week 1, then they better have it in working order.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Since I'm so hyped for Andromeda I went back and started playing Mass Effect 3 on my Xbox One (the entire Mass Effect trilogy is in EA Access now). It still looks incredible, doesn't really feel dated at all.

If there's one complaint I have about the game is the dumbed down, confusing inventory, weapon modding, etc. I'm sure they'll completely overhaul this in Andromeda.

Yeah, I think they said it's 1800P upscaled using checkerboard rendering.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

It will be PC for me anyway. But those numbers looks good on console.
Especially since this game looks like the most beautiful open world ever made.
