pure speculation on my part, but yeah, it should absolutely feel like a generational step compared to the current console specs

just pointing that it seems an inept comparison here, we're talking about a console that's about a year from release. at that point the comparisons will be looking to the future, not the past. on the hardware side, yeah probably the scorpio will be more hardware capable than the ps4pro, i don't even see what's the doubt here

I would expect the machine to best the PS4 Pro in terms of hardware specs (why wouldnt it, it'll be a year later and more costly by the looks of things), but the question will be how much this will make a difference to games. Also the one area where Ms is really weak is with games and their variety, sony will trump them (pun intended) them this and next year.

Well, there is not much to speculate, to be honest. Look at AMDs roadmap and you will see what they will be putting in it. There won't be new architectures in the not so far future.

Yes it'll have a better CPU,GPU and probably Ram... though they may opt not to upgrade ram significantly. It would have to be better considering it's going to be more expensive.

It's certainly going to have the hardware advantage if you're not including price. It's the rest that will let it down.

6TF is not enough to have good gfx at 4K resolution. PS5 will not be releasing anytime soon. I guess by 2020 we should be able to have both gfx fidelity as well as 4K maintream by then

Who the fuck cares? The ps4 and the ps4 pro have been owning all forms of Xbox one in every aspect of hardware for year(s) now and that was never a major discussion point nor did Sony ever try to market or brag about that. I'm hoping Microsoft plans to sell Scorpio off the back of actual exclusives first and foremost but all signs are pointing toward them trying to tout the power advantage because they seemingly don't have much else to talk about.
