It doesn't really make sense to make a premium flagship model for a console and sell it at $600. It's meant to inject new life in the sales of the system, not show how weak the affordable xbox one s is in comparison. It's not going to sell at $600 and will only make the ps4 pro look better.
I would have paid $600 for a ps4 pro with BC, dedicated PSVR ports, 4k UHD drive and SSD inside. Yet the thing would have been doa and only drive more people to the xbox one s.

The thing with new products is... They will sell regardless of the price, it's new and Shiny. Apple has made it a "thing" with phones.
It is what happens afterwards, if Microsoft isn't satisfied with the sales rate, they will simply do what they have always done. Reduce the price.
It's easy and (good advertising) when you drop the price of a product... But it doesn't sit well with consumers when the price increases.
As for 4k Blu-Ray. It adds nothing to the cost anyway. Sony just decided to keep using the same old Blu Ray drive, it was a silly decision.
Fact is, if you are more price concious, the Xbox One S will continue to exist on the market, the Scorpio can take the more premium ground and sell to those who want the best graphics in a console... But this argument is irrellevent anyway. We have no idea what the pricing actually is... But for me personally, I don't care either.
