Forums - Nintendo - What franchises will make an appearance on Nintendo Switch?

I want a new advance wars bad!

Around the Network

Metroid, Punchout, F-Zero, Nintendogs, and Paper Mario are the franchises I don't particularly care for. I did kind of like Super Paper Mario, but the rest of them are nothing more than cheap perversions of the Mario RPG experience.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Tales franchise would be nice. Somekind of collaboration with Nintendo on it.

Intel Core i7 8700K | 32 GB DDR 4 PC 3200 | ROG STRIX Z370-F Gaming | RTX 3090 FE| Crappy Monitor| HTC Vive Pro :3

My hopes...

Nintendo owned:
... but unlikely
F-Zero (My guess is the games are being compared to Mario Kart and coming up lacking sadly Nintendo doesn't understand or care about the audience enough to try to make another one work when they can just probaly stick Captain Faclon in a future Mario Kart game and call it a day)
Star Fox (See the reasoning of F-Zero, except replace comparing it to Mario Kart with not performing exceptionally well since the N64 era and the last game bombing badly.)
Metroid (See the reasoing of F-Zero and Star Fox but apply Other M and Federation Force under performing and Nintendo not caring or understanding the audience for the Metriod franchise enough to understand why those two bombed.)
Fatal Frame (Technically Nintendo owns part of the IP so legend says but it would be nice to have this type of game availble.)
Kid Icarus (Remake of Uprising or sequel to Uprising, I just want more of that zany little 4th wall leaning world  Sakurai revived for us all.)

...All but assured
Fire Emblem (If not for Splatoon it would be the biggest rising star among the Nintendo IP)
Animal Crossing
Smash Bros.
Pokemon
Kirby

Third Parties...

... unlikely at least at the onset
FIFA
Monster Hunter
Mana franchise (preferably a remake of the third game released in NA but if they can finally make new game on par with second or third game in terms of enjoyment I will happily take that as well.)
Persona
Samurai Shodown (not a major seller but I LOVE that series)

...All but assured (so since we are confirmed about Skyrim, Sonic and Dragon Quest, they get left out)
LEGO franchise
Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons (I know they are two 'different' franchises now but whatever)
Musou/Dynasty Warriors (either the main games or at least a spin off of some sort)
Ace Attorney series (it sells well and Capcom even though they don't care a great deal about the NA market outside of making it available to us digital at retail price won't likely abandon it just yet.)
Layton Series (Lady Layton may come out on the 3DS but there is no way they wouldn't have a Switch version as well if possible)

Would love a pilotwings game. Still find the N64 version addictive.
