Forums - Nintendo - How will future Super Mario Maker games be on future consoles? without 2nd screen?

Waddup! Its Nintation! and welcomome back to my threads! You know! when I create interesting topics for alllllll the people on VGCharts!

I recently got back into Super Mario Maker and DAMN I been having myself a good ass time on it!. Making levels, playing levels, playing my own levels and watching my favorite Youtuber play it. And its great! But like....How will future Super Mario Maker games be on the Switch? Future Nintendo hardware??

At first I thought playing Super Mario Maker on The Switch was possible, but apparently you CAN'T use the screen tablet thing as a 2nd screen. Is 2nd screen features popular enough for Super Mario Maker to require them? Like, using a tablet, phone, ipad, ipod to create levels and using the Nintedendo Switch controller to play them?

If I was Nintendo this is what I'd do: I'd sell Super Mario Maker on Switch with a Special Stylus in the case, so people can use the stylus making levels on their phone, ipad, tabets ect ect.... that's just me.

Will be ever see another Super Mario Maker title ever?, if we do, how in the world are we going to play it?

The right Joy-Con has a infrared pointer. Point at TV and add Bowser. Problem solved.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Mario Maker doesn't need a second screen, hell it doesn't even need a touch screen, though having the latter makes level creation more efficient.

I have the same doubts, without the gamepad must be way less intuitive, slower and less fun to make a level.

Nintendo still got more to show from the switch.

Well since the 3DS version does not offer the real experience and the WiiU version was limited by its userbse, it does makes sense to make a Switch one, but I just don't know how they plan to do it to make it as good as the experienco on wiiu though.

Maybe you could use your 3DS to make levels in the Switch version?

But the fact that you need and old handheld to play Mario Maker would be weird, it could be an option though.

Switch has a touchscreen, so what exactly would be the issue?

Well it could be done but not when docked, however now I think about it is just so easy to undock it and make the level with the touchscreen then return it to the dock that is not really a big deal at all. I feel dumb now.
