One thing that annoys me is people always stop on crossings, blocking the way. I don't know if it's human instinct to defend the position or have multiple escape routes, yet it's annoying when you're cycling. When you drive, you don't stop in the middle of an intersection to have a have a drink and a chat.

eh, people use what they know. If they grew up using a different system then they`ll probably use it their whole life. I know some older people who still use farenheit even :o

I grew up with the metric system. Now I live in Canada and use Fahrenheit for water temperature, Celcius for air temperature, (kilo)meters for speed/distance, feet for height, grams for cooking, pounds for weight, inches for measurements, liters for gas, gallons for water, it's messed up.
