Forums - Gaming - PC The Place To Game

I feel no platform is the definitive place to play, as all of them offer something worthwhile to play. You can get more than enough enjoyment from any platform you get. There really isn't a right answer when it comes to the place to play : P And this is not to dis on PC either. I play PC as well as consoles.

I just had a look on the 2016 releases on PS4 and PC with a MetaScore of 80 or better.

Very few of these games in the PS4 list can't be played on PC.

The big ones are of course Uncharted 4, Ratchet & Clank, The Last Guardian, Gravity Rush Remastered and Final Fantasy XV, followed by Rez Infinite, Odin Sphere Leifthasir, MLB: The Show 16, Madden NFL 17, Dragon Quest Builders, BlazBlue: Central Fiction and Skylanders Imaginators (not everyone of the latter games are AAA).

I wouldn't rule out PC ports of Final Fantasy XV and BlazBlue: Central Fiction in 2017, since most games of these series are already on PC:

So PC gamers without PS4 miss out on the games in the upper paragraph.

Instead of these they can play the AAA games Civilization VI, WoW Legion, Forza Horizon 3, Total War: Warhammer, Gears of War 4, Killer Instinct: Season 3, the undervalued Quantum Break and a few dozens good indie/niche titles:

I'd say the library of good 2016 releases for PC + PS4 is pretty much on par and nobody can complain.

The lucky ones that have both a PS4 (Pro) and a gaming PC should be very happy with this year and will also be very happy next year.

honestly dudes I didn't want to show anything for free, but I got fed up because I just don't have the patience anymore, so I kept my dignity, and saved Chazore from changing his sig and avatar.

Maybe it's just your camera btw, but those LED's inside the PC case, could never ever have those in mine, I even popped the wire out fo the HDD and Power LED's at the front of my Case, it looks cool for display but yeah... BRIGHT! (could just be the camera's sensor picking it up too of course!) Also that USB cable coming out the front usb port on the Wii-U :o Is there a big HDD full of WBFS files on that just off camera?

If wrong - Sorry!

Nope, I don't use that.

this would've been a lot more fun if you'd just agreed. I had a lot of cool pics lined up for you too.

make sure you read what that little piece of paper says.

Nice collection you got going on there.

But to qualify for the "God Gamer" title, you need to own *every* console. :P
With that in mind, you only have a couple more consoles than me.

How big is your games collection though? :P

windows don't qualify as an xbox too? lol. Yah nah its not big, I trade what I finish back to the store, and give hand-me-downs to my niece. Im looking at 6 physical copies right now, and 30 digital games, that's including on my PS vita too.

Oh look, 9gag came to vgchartz....

Add all the great 3DS games to that comparison. Anyone that plays on a single platform is missing out.

Can't disagree with you there. WarCraft has had the writing on the wall for years now.
But there are still over 10+ million subscribers.

Sadly. Consoles will never get the StarWars MMO made by Bioware which was one of the most expensive games ever developed.

A touchscreen is more precise and faster than KB+M - doesn't make it fun to play that.

Hell no it ain't.

Your fingers lack the fine tuned pixel-precision of a mouse pointer. Fingers are fat. - Touch Screens also have zero tactile feedback, thus typing/general input will always be inferior to the keyboard.

Ultimately, me not gaming on PC = missing on a couple of genres that I don't enjoy. If I were not gaming on consoles, then I'd be missing out on the greatest games, simple as that.

"Greatest Games" is all opinion of course. Every platform has a selection of games that rate extremely highly. The PC is no exception.
The PC has some of the best games of all time ever released as per reviewed scores and consistently appearing in top 100 lists.

Those games being on PC doesn't change that fact that consoles also have great turned based strategy games.

Warcraft doesn't still have 10M subscribers.

And yes, touchscreen is way more precise than KB+M. Your argument doesn't mean anything when you consider the fact that you're not shooting at only a few pixels. Both are still not fun.

PC's best games of all times are either on consoles or are old. Think of the great games (as judged by GOTY awards by the same reviewers you're talking about) in the past 5 years - they're either on consoles and PC or only on consoles. TLoU, Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, Journey...

Such a shame. With so many platforms it screams "Collect-me!" Haha

I never stated that they weren't great.
But good as PC? Hardly.

It most certainly does.
https://www.vg247.com/2016/10/05/world-of-warcraft-legion-report-says-subscribers-reached-10m-blizzard-denies-it/
http://www.polygon.com/2016/10/4/13167592/world-of-warcraft-legion-subscriber-numbers-10-million

It did hit a low point of only 5.5 million subscribers before Legion dropped.

No way is a touch screen more precise than a Keyboard and Mouse, regardless of the planet you live on.

When you move a mouse with your hand by an inch on the mousepad it can translate to 10 inches of travel on the screen. - Touch is a 1:1 movement mapping, so to touch something that is 10 inches apart you need to move your hand 10 inches, not an inch. - A mouse will always have an edge in speed.

A finger cannot be pixel-accurate like a mouse. End of debate.

Disagree. I have already gone over it, I won't do so again.

If you want to use Metacritic, both handhelds do very well.

Vita had a pretty solid year.

People need to get all them platforms.

Vita mostly gets multiplats though. How many good Vita games are entirely exclusive?
