Frank Wolf International Religious Freedom Act

TLDR:

Dubbed the "Frank Wolf International Religious Freedom Act," all who are not religious including, but not limited to, humanists, atheists, freethinkers, and anti-theists are now protected around the world from religious persecution.

The newly amended law says, "The freedom of thought, conscience, and religion is understood to protect theistic and non-theistic beliefs as well as the right not to profess or practice any religion." The law further condemns any "policy or practice of routinely denying applications for visas for religious workers in a country can be indicative of a poor state of religious freedom in that country."

This stands in direct opposition to Donald Trump plan to persecute individuals for their beliefs by denying them access to the United States.

Interesting how they describe "denying them access to the United States" as a form of persecution. Am I persecuting people by not letting them freely move into my house?

Horrible analogy. Simple horrible.

There's a difference between letting someone into your house and not letting someone enter the country due to their beliefs. Unless they're extremists or are revealed to be nazis, they should be allowed to enter the United States like any other human being.

It's almost 2017. This bill should have been made decades ago.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

There`s always gotta be an exception hasn`t there...

Well, yes. The bill protects the freedom of people's beliefs. Those groups do the opposite

Pretty sure I read that he was going to be weeding them out by way of making sure their personal belief structure lines up with Western liberal values on things like women's rights and gay rights.

So we want to be the global police of religious freedom now? Most of the offenders are in the middle east, did the people who wrote this even think for 2 seconds about what it means to interfere in religious politics in the middle east? Do you have any idea how much chaos actually doing what that would cause?

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Do you ever feel Obama sometimes does/has done incredibly irrelevant things, yet everyone makes a big deal out of them? Yeah.

No worries, Trump still has the ability to deny an individual's entry based off of their country of origin too ...

Globally? What?

Because discrimination is fine when it`s against people that aren`t liked, just like it always has been...

I'm fine with it.

We don't need more toxic groups to ruin society.
