Just like the Trailer they showed for the Switch with Skyrim ect running on the tv.
That was all from a PC, and it was bullshots.

Its just marketing but its deceptive.

I think Bethesda has a devkit, so Skyrim in the trailer can be real footage from Switch

I mean, they didn't lie. They said that the trailer footage was based on what they hoped the Switch would be capable of and that they didn't have dev kits.

But yeah, they're def being disingenuous.

I was thinking about this yesterday and the possibility of it and how disgraceful it would be... and it happened.

So yeah, they did this only to give themself publicity.

I think you're mistaken about that. Bethesda almost certainly got a devkit long ago for the Switch and has repeatedly had weirdly positive comments about the Switch recently (especially when compared to their negativity about Nintendo in the past).

Bear in mind that Nintendo generally suggests their 3rd party partners do not announce game releases until they've given them the OKAY, which obviously would likely be in January when the system is officially unveiled in terms of details.

I would be very surprised at this point if Skyrim wasn't on the Switch early on. Bear in mind that a software company agreeing to be (essentially) the main part of a big release trailer is sort of a serious decision. You can't seriously think Bethesda just said, oh, cool, yeah, we'll lend you some gameplay footage from elsewhere to put on your system for no reason.

It creates bad PR and pissed off fans. Skyrim is likely already a behind closed door deal between Nintendo and Bethesda.

this game however? doubt it will ever end up on the Switch, the real question is why the devs have been bringing up essentially what appears to be a hope of theirs, not something they've even began to test the validity or possibility of

Skyrim is going to be on the switch, I mean its on the PS3/Xb360.

I just mean that the footage in the trailer isnt representive of actual gameplay on the switch, it was most likely footage taken from a high end pc.

This is the same Bethesda that released unplayable games for years and got away with it, so I can believe they'd do exactly that.
