Why do gamers care so much for power.. the Switch is more powerful than the WiiU and can play current games. Its a Tablet that can play XB1 and PS4 games at an affordable price. Maybe wont run it better but than if that's all they care about than invest into PC gaming. You won't be disapointed.
Day one for me, not because of Skyrim or 3rd party games but for the best 1st party line up on its way.

It probably cant run XB1 or PS4 games... unless resolution is like 540p.

Multiplats being 1080p PS4, 900p XB1,.... and 540p on Switch? its gonna effect sales, and it probably wont get that many multi plats.

 

Also we dont know if its going to be affordable or not. Rumors say anything from 199-299$.

PS4 slim was 212$ not to long ago, and 250$ with 50$ giftcards other places atm I believe? best buy offer.

2017 you will probably see PS4slims for 199$.

Im hopeing Nintendo knows that price cant be much higher than that, or they end up with another Wii U.

People need to stop using the stupid defense of "If you care so much about power get a PC/GTX1080"

It's a silly defense of the Switch's power, Just because you think the Switch is weak doesn't immediately mean, "Oh well if you care about power get a 1080" That's just really dumb.

Thinking the Switch should be more than 0.4 TFlops when used as a home console doesn't mean you're a power hungry maniac who won't settle for anything less then a 1080.

It just means you're not happy with a "home console" being inferior to machines released 3 and a half years before it.

The argument is equivalent to someone saying "That house is too small for me", and then the reply being "Oh well if all you care about is size then you should buy a mansion."

Stop blowing peoples requirements and standards out of proportion. I'm tired of this being the go-to argument for other Nintendo Fans when it makes zero sense.

 

There's nothing wrong with thinking 400Gflops isn't enough, and it certainly doesn't equate to "get a pc." It's a valid complaint.

If the Switch can run 2x the graphics of XCX with better framerates we should all be verry happy.

Because like everything else...gamers want new and different experiences... VR being one of them...and you need mega power for good VR.

Good example is go back to when n64 and ps1 were released...technically they were in the same generation, but sony just blow everyone out of the water.

And the recently released Nintendo patents show a VR HMD. With a 720p screen that would be a pretty bad visual quality. But the screen size is rumored to be 6.2" and is a little bit bigger than a Samsung Galaxy S7, so the magnification lenses wouldn't have to magnify quite so much. But the S7 has a super amoled quad HD screen to use with the Gear VR HMD. Nintendo cuts corners too much when they try new things.

And some people are saying the Switch is the "laptop" of this generation. Show the Switch to anyone and ask them what it is. They will tell you it is a tablet, a mobile device. Comparing the Switch to other mobile devices is happening now, because that is what it is.
