Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One is pretty solid

1) OS

After setting up for a while, I realized it was very efficient and never had any confusing steps to complete. Set up your account, download updates, blah blah blah.

Once I got it going, I realized that it was a lot like Windows 10, with the only difference being that it seemed more fit for Xbox One.

2) Controller

It's gorgeous, and feels great in the hand. I think the triggers are the best, as they feel absolutely amazing. I'll typically go on a clicking spree where I do nothing but click the triggers nonstop for a minute. Reminds me of the Gamecube's shoulder buttons

3) Graphics

When I saw the video comparisons, I thought the Xbox One would feel like a Wii. After trying out some games, I realized the difference between it and PS4 isn't as bad as I expected it to be. Is it inferior to the PS4 in terms of graphics? Yes, but it doesn't bother me. I play on a damn 240p screen people(i.e 3ds). The Xbox One won't kill me.

4) Download speed

It is surprisingly fast. It's certainly much faster than the PS3, so I'm glad about that. In a world where 'small' games are 15 GB, I'm glad to have good speeds for downloading.

5) requiring payment information for xbox 360 games

Overall, I don't think the Xbox one is that different from the PS4 when you exclude the slight graphics difference and the OS. I think it honestly comes down to:

a) If you had a 360/PS3 before

b) Prefer a certain OS over another

c) Want Microsoft/Sony exclusives

I'm pretty satisfied with it, and don't think the Scorpio will be needed at all for me.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Microsoft kind of shot themselves in the foot. Even if the Scorpio is a much better value than the PS4 Pro, almost every Xbox One exclusive already runs at 60 frames per second, so the performance boost only goes to a resolution that most consumers don't even have. Either way, I agree. The Xbox One is actually a pretty good system. Glad you're enjoying yourself. If you're into Japanese RPGs, the game Lost Odyssey is free on the Xbox One Live service right now. It's not one of the two main games they're advertising for free(those are Sleeping Dogs and Murder Soul Sacrifice) but you can download it for free if you search for it in the store. Man, I love the free games they give us. They're actually high quality triple A's.

Don't forget dat backwards compatibility!

It is solid, indeed. You can probably bludgeon someone to death with it.

It's solid now, for sure. It took about three years though :(

Backward compatibility and great exclusives like Gears 4 helped turn things around. The One S, with its built-in HD Blu-ray player, is pretty sweet too. And the controller is the best on the market.

I think i'll buy one because the backwards compatibility list is sexy, very sexy.

Also which platforms your friends play on.  If you're in europe chances are most of your friends are on Playstation.

Good that youre enjoying it. Personaly i dislike everything about the console but the games...

It's a good system, lol at expecting the graphics to be like the Wii. Honestly most normal people won't really notice much of a difference between XBOne and PS4 graphically.

Sexy enough to feel like having sex with the console? I know I would.
