Before I say anything, due to Splatoon and Mario Kart I will probably get the Switch on launch day.    

I've been thinking about this alot lately. Lately I've been ENJOYING the hell out of the PS4 and I am waiting for a PS4 Pro bundle to come out so I can get the Pro and have the best experience ever! Playing Spotify while gaming, having Party chat with friends. And when I'm playing a Shooter I can talk to random gamers online in its in game voice chat, when someone sends me a message it'll notify me on my screen, enjoying 3rd party support because the PS4 is powerful enough to run those games.... and I'm loving it so far, and I don't want all that stuff to be taken away if I get the Switch. Honestly, it feels like..... It's just another Wii U 2.0. Yes, I can excited for the new games that's going to come out but the console I'm worried about. I don't want to hit my friends up on Skype and play online, I want the missing updated console features to be on the Nintendo Switch.

I honestly won't care if its not powerful, I just want the missing features to be on the Switch. I know people will say "Oh well, they're just trying to protect the kids and th-"..... Kids have ipads, iphones, youtube channels, PS4 consoles and everything nowadays. Nintendo it still living like its 2006. Look, its not Nintendo's fault if somethng bad happens to the kids, its the parents fault. I just hope Nintendo will bring everythng I said to the Switch. Nintendo has been soo outdated since the Gamecube and it's effecting the die hard Nintendo fans like me. Playstation is giving us what we want! I have so many people on Playstation who I enjoy playing games with, so many games with online multiplayer and I dont wanna spend money on a outdated console anymore.         

I'm not hating on the Switch at all, I just hope it'll atleast be updated. But when I watch Nintendo Switch reviews and the menu and everything else.... if I see if its outdated then I'm going to buy the Switch like 2-3 years later after launch. I can wait. I'm excited for the new games thats coming out but I'm worried about the Switch. I want to party chat with friends, I want to be notified about everything, I want in voice gameplay, and I want apps like spotify.  

Waiting for the games will be tough, but I think I can bare it. Breath of the Wild? Meh, the delays ruined Breath of the Wild for me, I'll play it whenever the price goes down. Mario Kart? Its not a new Mario Kart title, its a remaster, I can play the Original until then, Splatoon? Wii U works fine and everything else can have to wait.

BUT WHEN I DO PLAY THE SWITCH, OMG ITS GOING TO BE AMAZING. Since I'll wait 2-3 years I should get like 10 games when I get the switch. I'll try to get the switch before the summer of 2019 AND PLAY THE WHOLE SUMMER YES!

So many good points in the OP. Nintendo needs to make sure the Switch is on par with other mobile, portable, and home devices if they want to succeed. The days of consoles being basic gaming and media devices are over.

Now they are competing with iOS, Android, and Windows devices. All of these devices allow us to do all of our daily computing needs, and game, though at a lower quality than a console or handheld device.For most casual and even a good portion of core gamers, the lower quality gaming experience offered on other platforms is acceptable because of the massive amount of functionallity available through these devices.

If gaming first devices want to survive, they have to be able to replace peoples PC, Apple TV, Amazon Fire devices, Iphone, Galaxy Phone, etc. and so on. I fully hope that Nintendo understands this, and sees that not having calling and texting, along with an open store front that offers apps from all walks of life, is what made 3DS sell so much less than the DS.If Nintendo can come out with a fully conected device, with 4G, and allow peole to access all of their favorite apps, then Switch will be well on its way. If Switch i simply a great gaming device, then it will stumble out the gate, and ulitimatly fall to met even the 3DS's low expectations.

I hope for the best and am fully prepaired to buy a Switch day one if it offers what I need from a device of it's nature.

Then again we have the talks for calls and texts, things Nintendo aren't interested in nor would be as being a part of said parody as well
