I do it myself, to a degree. Maybe not when it comes to video games (or maybe I do. I'm human.) but in other aspects of life. Facebook, for example. Sometimes, I'm just bored. Sometimes something just pisses me off. Sometimes, I just want to show off how wise I am.

When I see something insane (ie: Obama changes the law so that he can serve another term) I HAVE to comment, even though I know I'm entering a hive of period who will disagree with me.

Buyers remorse...

Nah, jokes aside, it's just human nature, imo. The same as people rooting for sports teams. Once you're a fan of something, you defend it... and other "teams" suck. And of course there are bandwagoners, who change from a winning team to another, or to put it in console terms, the ones who buy the "better" console each gen.

Well, there was no "desperately lonely" voting option, so I abstained from casting my ballot. I have gone into some non Sony threads is the fairly distant past and been a dick for no good reason. But now, I don't really go into threads for the purpose of stirring up shit. And although I have stated I'm not a fan of MS at large, the XBO is fricken sweet. So yeah, past transgressions to the contrary aside, I feel in the clear on this.

Because disagreement is so much more intresting than agreeing with someone. Besides most threads are formed as a question anyway, sometimes people agree and sometimes they don't. If they don't they aren't jerks or insecure they just don't agree with you. Now if a PS, PC or Xone fan would go to the official Nintendo forum to piss on Nintendo with not a single good argument that person would be a troll. Which sometimes is funny because of yhe reactions. That would probably the main reason behind it.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

What's the point of a thread if everyone shares the same opinion. I mean I don't like doing that but nothing wrong with other people doing it, more discussion and different points of view is always better

I don't really tbh.

I'm interested in gaming in general, and I still want to express my opinion. If you want circlejerking around a subject, pick a Facebook group for that. Last I heard, most forums weren't for that. I agree that some people seem to go in these threads just to annoy others, or at least that's how it seems, but personally I try to stay reasonable even if I do have something negative to say.

I think a better question would by: why do you want circlejerking instead of discussion? OK, that's a bit provocative I suppose, but it seems you're basically asking why anyone with a negative opinion would come in a thread.

I have no idea. If I don't like something, I don't put my input into it. I didn't used to be that way when I first joined the site but I've matured. I guess it's the same reason why sports enthusiasts trash talk other teams. I am a prowd owner of all 3 consoles at the moment, a first for me, so I can respect and point out issues on the consoles when the need arises but I'm not going to start an uproar about it.
