No, FFXV launch was the reason the last thread got many posts, just like this thread will get quite a few posts because it's FFXV's second week. I mean, your title is so long, not even half of it shows in the front page. A title is just supposed to tell you a little bit about the subject. It's not supposed to present all info. It just looks cluttered and poorly formatted. You could write something like "Media Create/Famitsu week 49 - FFXV's second week, holiday begins". That's more than enough. |
Of course teeqoz... However, my title had a positive effect too.
Anyway, I'm talking about views teeqoz, from non-members...
I tend to write titles like this one to attract more people to read something interesting , as long as what I have written isn't fallacious, offensive or baiting, I don't see the problem...
No mod have admonished me for that or asked me to change/shorten the title anytime before...
| Hiku said: Yakuza did good compared to the previous two installments, but those were prequels/remakes etc. For the main series, its a bit worse than Yakuza 5 taking into accound some digital sales. 88% drop for FF second week looks normal for the series. Would have still been nice to see a smaller drop due to its initial sales. |
This is an astute comment...
it's exactly why this drop is problematic in spite of being in line with the drop of previous intallments.

Well, look at it like this. A game sells 100 units and another selld 80. They both drop to 10% sold next week, that means the game that sold 100 copies now sells 10 while the game that sold 80 now sells 8.
As far as drop off it is the same. But as far as overall sales it is worse.

FFXIII sold 1.312.742 units less the second week. |
The total sales have dropped more sure, but both times XIII outsold XV.
Did we had a party to celebrate PS4 passing WiiU in Japan?

Pretty sure that the frog had made a celebration thread about it...
However, the battle became uninteresting when Nintendo killed the momentum by splatoon and super mario maker in early 2016...

I swear I didn't see the gallant frog making a thread about it.

It seems FFXV got only regular drop, feared it would be much worse.
Yakuza needs some legs.
Last Guardian and PS4 HW surprised.
Nice to see Minecraft Vita and WiiU doing good numbers.
Battlefield 1 also up, the legs are really happening.
XB1 back in 4 digits.
Holidays are good.
I cannot imagine toilet-free life.
Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

Yes, but you specifically said "As far as drop off it is the same" in your example converting percentages to units. That's not applicable here. |
I can see the confusion. But yeah, just percentage wise it's the same. Though even with a larger drop in sales in units, I'm sure S-E were more happy with XIII than XV. Sad really as I think XV at least gets SOME things right. It deserved better sales and meta score than XIII IMO.
