Wow what a god awful time, no way I'm staying up to watch that live.

And secondly why on EARTH are they not doing the presentation on a weekend? That way they would actually show it at a time that's somewhat friendly to the EU.

Because of media usually doesn't works over weekend, and of course they want full coverage of media on internet right away. Almost no one doing reveal on weekends, at least for home consoles..

PlayStation Experience was on a Saturday, that got an abundance of media coverage, and I could actually watch that live.

PlayStation Experience and full reveal are totaly difrent things, PS4 reveal was on Wednesday 20. February 2013, XB1 reveal was on Tuseday 21. May 2013.

So? It doesn't change the fact that Media coverage for PSX was EXCELLENT. There were no issues with it being on a Weekend, and there would be no issues with revaling the Switch on a weekend, though technically it's already been revealed, and anyway I was able to watch both the PS4 Reveal and XB1 Reveal live If I remeber correctly.

Nintendo just chose a terrible time.

Doesn`t E3 usually start on a Sunday? If it`s a big event then media will work whether it`s a weekend or not.

Oh and the Japanese time in the OP is still wrong.

No, public E3 doesnt starts on weekend, this year was from 14-16 June, Tuesday-Thursday. Offcourse that not evre media works during weekend, PS4 and XB1 reveal also werent durign weekend.

Reveals are almost always are doing outside weekends, because it has bigger effect in working week compared to weekends. Tehnicaly its reveald, this is a full reveal with tons of infos and details. If you have world wide event you can't have good time for every time zone, it has to be terrible time for someone, clear fact.

With all the different timezones somebody had to get screwed over. Might as well be those in Europe... again

Offcourse, thats a fact.

Disagree, there's no reason it can't have as big an effect on a weekend. It gets just as much press, more people can watch it live AND as less people are working they most likely spend more time reading news, if anything it would get bigger exposure on a weekened.

Anyway the ps4 reveal you brought up earlier was at a much friendler time for a global audience.

ET: 6pm

GMT: 11pm

Japan: 8am

You can disagree, but Sony, MS and Nintendo definatly know better than you when is best day to reveal console.

PS4 reveal was live in US, Switch reveal is live event Japan, you cant relly have live reveal in 8am in Japaan.
