Disagree, there's no reason it can't have as big an effect on a weekend. It gets just as much press, more people can watch it live AND as less people are working they most likely spend more time reading news, if anything it would get bigger exposure on a weekened.
Anyway the ps4 reveal you brought up earlier was at a much friendler time for a global audience.
