Forums - Politics - Come Witness the War on Christmas

Im not sure there was ever a point in history where people have used Christmas as a way of celebrating Jesus. I myself am an atheist and I still celebrate it. These "traditional meanings" of holidays are very obsolete at this point. People celebrate Christmas to be with their families, be happy, and have kids believe that there is magic in the world. If thats a sin then your religion is broken. Although if I had to be brutally honest I feel like all religions are broken and the world we live in has grown too diverse for religious belief systems. Everyone should be free to form their own beliefs and have their own morals, and these articles prove that.

Ahh, non religious people on the internet. It's like their mission to go out of their way to belittle religious peoples beliefs. I mean I've seen religious folks do the same thing but I swear it's like a life mission for Athiests

Personaly I think there are enough on both sides. I find its not worth gettting precious about it.

I'm not religious, I celebrate christmas, as a way of celebrating time with my family. It's one of the times of the year we can spend time together, watch some christmas carol on tv (the one with Patrick Stewart) and play lots of games :)

Whatever. I'm just going to enjoy Christmas with my family and loved ones, as always.

Apparently Santa Claus was a monk from Turkey in 280 AD named St Nicholas.

Anyway Santa Claus is an important lesson to kids, don't believe what adults tell you, not even your parents. Too bad most people forget that lesson, hence all the shit in the world :p
