GameStop Sweetens $250 PS4 Slim Deal With $25 Gift Card

As part of a limited-time price cut, the Uncharted 4 PS4 Slim model is discounted to $250 right now at all major US retailers. GameStop is sweetening the deal with an extra bonus: a $25 gift card.

It's a digital gift card, and the fine print says it will be emailed when your order ships. Go to GameStop's website here to learn more and to place an order.

The limited-time PS4 price drop is good until December 24. As mentioned, you can get the console at that Black Friday price at a number of retailers, though the $25 gift card appears to be exclusive to GameStop. Other retailers may offer their own further incentives in the future.

Temporary price cut... sure... until it become permanent sometime in January or even extended before that.

But additional 25 cut is good... we are getting close to sub 200 on PS4, so our suspicion of 2017>2016 seems to be likely to happen.

I think part of the reason they are offering a gift card is to offset the cost of tax.  It's so easy to order off of Amazon for the same price and not pay sales tax.  But the $25 more than makes up for it.  And even though it's GameStop, sometimes it better to deal with a brick and mortar store.

Whenever possible I like brick and mortar at least to visit... and if in the end 25 covers the taxes I would preffer the Amazon deal if shipping isn't extra cost charged.
