Crapgamer believes thats why Sony announced it.... to soften the blow, from a November NPD loss.

I can see Xbox winning, but by a slim margin. For example....I think the FF week for PS in Japan is a bigger gap over Xbox in 1 week than Xbox last month in the US over PS.

Also if PS had its biggest BF so far....than xbox would have to do monstrous numbers
