Would like to know also, I assume that you DO have a source right? In fact your comment seems to imply multiple sources!

If you listen to multiple CrapGamers videos - do those count as sources?

I don't know, but I'd hope no one would make up "sources" to make an unsubstantiated claim trying to downplay a win from a competitor to their console of choice.

That was a given considering the ps4 pro launch. Now that the ps4 slim is priced lower than the Xbox One S (at least on amazon from what I can tell) I would go as far as to say they will likely take the month of December as well now. That needed to happen.

They were so smart dropping the UHD 4K player.  Allowing them to cut the price even further.  Just shows you whets more important to the consumer.  A gaming console at a great price.  Not UHD that barely nobody uses or knows about.

congrats to sony.

Heard from sources that it was quite close so microsoft should keep their head high for keeping up to a company who launched multiple hardwares and heavy price cuts.

Really? What sources and how close?

Well crapgamerreviews was saying it on twitter.  So there's one source!!

Crapgamer got ps4 pro being 4.2tf right, so don't dismiss him altogether.

No... Eurogamer leaked that it was 4.2tf, Crapgamer going along with Eurogamers leaks isn't getting anything right. xD

Crapgamer is a sad joke.

Technically 300k is still close. You just admitted sony had a fire sale+2 new consoles+vr everything but the kitchen sink and they only win by 300k? you would expect total domination. Anything below 300k is close in my opinion.

Xb1 had the exact same fire sale. They were both discounted to $218 at target and amazon.

Also the slim isn't new it has been out for months.

so your "sources" is just rumors from neogaf? Shouldn't you say that instead of trying to act like you are in the know?

Guess what? People on here are also getting their "rumours" of >300k from neogaf and yet they go unchallenged.

Both consoles had similar deals and price, but PS4 won both November and BF :D

I just don't think XB1 can compete at the same price :D

Considering Sony won BF and had Pro preorders on top of that, we are looking at a 300k minimum victory. That's not close! :D :D :D

Fire sales on Black Friday???? Nooooooo wayyyyyyy!!!! :D

Like I said, I expect 300k win minimum and that's based on Pro preorders alone. Add on top of that how much Sony won by on BF :D

"People on neogaf are saying" is completely different to "I've heard from sources". You're making things up because you like how it sounds. We don't want people claiming to have "sources" to discredit a console they don't like.

Actually no, I'm saying 300k boost based on trends from data we already know. Like how much the Pro boosted UK and Japnaese PS4 sales. The boost in both markets were pretty similar and since the UK market is similar to the US market but smaller, I just applied the same trends of what what we've seen to the US market :D

Better than just pulling numbers straight from your arse :D

I love the one sided metrics to accept calling it a win, but when it's reversed even 1 unit is a win, sometimes even losing but not by over 30% is a win.

To put into perspective why I think even 300K is/would be impressive.

July has amazing Xbox one sales - beats playstation by less than 10K.
August has all the xbox one S pre orders - wins by 114K.
The other two months? 47,500 and 94,000.

In total across these 4 months? 266,200.

Microsoft was also smart with its SKU releases.

- Release the 2TB XBOS at the beginning of August.
- Release the 500GB Halo bundle and 1TB Madden bundle at the end of August, taking advantage of the momentum leaking into September.
- Release the Gears 4 LE, 1TB Gears, and Battlefield 1 bundles in October.

The XB1 S was not the best selling gaming console during those months.

It was the best Bluray player and that's for sure.
