The war is not between ps3(sony) and nintendo its Wii and 360 agianst sony for back stabing nintendo with the first playstation. Remember nintendo and microsoft are secret allies remember them buying rare. I talked to a microsoft rep at a target once and she confirmed it.

I agree that Sony needs better/more advertising, but I don't agree that the mainstream audience is under-informed.

Maybe in grandma was buying little jimmy a gaming console, but most gamers know what's going on.


 Well, I can only speak for my friends, but most of them are mainstream gamers. Three of them played GTA back on the PS2, and none of them knew that GTA4 was coming to the 360 when I told them.

Are they looking at buying a console? I bet before they drop $350-$500 on one, they would know. (unless they impulse buy)

Alright, these threads are getting a bit boring (and I do like the PS3) now. It's clear that PS3 has turned a corner in America and Europe. I know some of this is in response of the denial of some members ("wait until after Christmas," "wait until Spring," etc.) This is getting about as boring as some members commenting on low PSP software week after week.
