In Sweden there has been pretty much talk about the film "Fitna the Movie, produced buy some populist politician in the Netherlands. Have you heard about it and is it any talk about it where you live?

 Personally I think it's sad to see this kid of stereotyping because I know that it can have a pretty deep impact on your world view if you don't have any relation to the subject handled.

The video just basically makes clear that all islamic extremists need to be put down like rabid animals. The religion itself needs to do some serious house cleaning and get rid of some people holding positions of authority in the religion and distance itself from some people that associate themselves with it like Muqtada al-Sadr.

this is the movie from that politician. He has some points, but most of this is pure BS

well, what can you expect after alot of muslims freak out after having their prophet in a cartoon. Some people might be a little pissed about being threatened by another group of people.

Radical muslims are , like radical christians, a bad thing.

There's lots to debate. The middle eastern unrest and the way in which religion effects and is affected by geopolitical events is an inredibly complex matter that needs to be discussed in the public sphere.

But fitna isn't that discussion. Fitna is just a giant middle finger pointed at an entire peoples by a populist biggot.

I'm not a big fan of religious dogma, but the way he uses parts of the Quran to make the muslim community as a whole look like rabid idiots is plain wrong. I know that you can find similar passages in both the Bible and different jewish texts.
