Because 4K is still really hard to push at 60Hz with max settings. Plus you also need a 4k display which can cost a fair bit for a decent one.

is it that expensive? I have no idea I just think if I would play on pc I would go big and would play in 4k and a stable framerate.

After looking on the internet that the difference between 1080p vs 1440p isn't that big.

The price point for 4k is still expensive and we don't even have single GPU's that can properly manage 4k 60fps. 4k gaming isn't really here yet though, not in a way that i's perfectly acceptable and accessible for everyone.

I feel we're getting off track with the subject though.

I have a 1080p TN, 1440p IPS and a 4k TN screen.

Personally I feel, from experience that the much higher pixel counts are very nice and add a lot to image clarity. But better colour accuracy something that I greatly value.

My 1440p IPS screen offers decently low latency (though higher than the 4k one) and gives me a much clearer image than a 1080p panel (From memory it is just under twice the pixels). 4k, from an image clarity standpoint fantastic, and the panel that I have is quite low latency. The problem is colour accuracy, viewing angles and the fact that it requires a beast of a machine to run the latest AAA titles smoothly.

All in all it comes down to the games that you play. You want to play games competitively perhaps shy away from 4k and IPS and go for a high speed TN screen (1ms delay at refresh rates over 60Hz).

PC is not always about the super high end, the ability to customise the way you play, the end experience, is a major factor.
