Also "remastered" is a word not a letter. |
Apparently, you were deprived from watching Sesame Street.
You can always ignore. Because we love it. More options for us.

My God. I just mentioned two of the Black Friday deals I came across were remasters. In fact, four of my Black Friday purchases were remasters or a remake in some way. I never said it was bad. Reading comprehension, man.
Was expecting an announcement of "The Letter Remastered" (remastered version of the Wii U game for Switch and/or PS4) ;)

The same ideal, to bring nostalgia to people that want it. Remakes and remasters exist purely for nostalgia and enterntainment purposes and nothing more (outside of a businesses primary goal of making money in the process).
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Let me please stress again that I'm not neccessarily knocking the remasters. But my point to your point was that video game remasters have found more favorable quality that film. Just my personal observation.

I'm not talking of quality though, I'm talking about their reason for their existence, the same way we see films from decades ago that end up being brought back to the big screen or the couch via remakes, remastering content for higher quality media formats. Games have their own form of the two, but all of them serve on the basis of nostalgia, that's why we want them in the first place, to rememebr and enjoy the good times we had, the fond memories.
I'm not saying you are knocking them. I just wanted to point out the reson as to whyw e keep seeing these popping up. Before you and I were even born they had different forms of remasters and remakes, via TV, the radio, the theatre etc.
