Does anyone know how we unlock Carbuncle ?
| StokedUp said: My only slight gripe with the game so far is, there doesn't seem to be enough enemies often enough, I'm a sucker for grinding out XP but I'm struggling to do it on this FF as there's not enough enemies or harder enemies to earn a lot. I've just got to chapter 3 now but haven't started it, it's clear the map has massively opened up so hopefully the lack of Enemies/monsters to fight will change. Other than that I'm really enjoying the game a lot. |
I thought the same!
SE should patch in more monsters! double the amount i say :P and also more NPC cars!! the roads are completely lifeless! and Id like to see some NPC characters riding chocobos around aswell.
I think the best time to have alot of enemy encounters is at night time, not only will you encounter the regular monsters you will also get the iron giants aswell.

Don't you have to play and complete the platinum ffxv demo?

FIFA 17' holds off 'Final Fantasty XV' to keep the No.1 spot
An impressive launch for Square Enix’s ‘Final Fantasy XV’ means it debuts at No2 while ‘Fifa 17’ maintains its grip on the crown. Despite missing out on the top spot it’s a great start for Square’s beloved series. It ranks as the second best launch (by our market panel) behind 2010’s ‘Final Fantasy XIII’.
’Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’ makes way for the new release dropping a spot to No3. Familiar titles jostle for position with ‘Minecraft: Xbox Edition’ pushing back into the Top 10 at No10. The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim – Special Ed’ benefits from retailer promotions climbing six places to No11.
Ubisoft deliver ‘Steep’ for PS4 and Xbox One with the snowboarding title making an impact at No24. In terms of Winter Sports titles it finds itself at No4 for week 1 panel sales just ahead of SSX Tricky. ‘Super Mario Maker’s dramatic surge back into the Top 40 is driven by the arrival of the 3DS version, which fires it back up to No25. Finally Take 2’s ‘Battleborn’ continues to climb up the All Formats chart, making its way to No40 following recent promotions.

Weapon you feel most comfortable with?
Who was dumb enough to jump down and fight the level 38 Bandersnatcher?
Has anybody got a grip on what the finese category is related to on the report card? Is it style?
Talk about a time you were given a stern spanking

I'm 21 hours in. Still in chapter 5 or 6.
I like the 2 handed sword. It's the weapon i always go for.
I was given a spanking by some bombs at night in the first area and when the empire started spawning the bosses from the platinum demo in pairs.
I'm still playing it. Just don't have much time. I will beat it for sure. It's much better than XIII.

Assuming you played the demo, you play the tutorial and he says he will come to help you in your time of need. He reses you when you die once per battle i heard. I know it happens on easy and on nornal at least sometimes. I haven't died since completing the tutorial to unlock him, so i haven't seen him.
I don't have the game yet, but it would be nice if this thread gets stickied or something like that.

I agree 100% with this. I am currently at the beach area, where outside of 2 sets of crab enemies that dont respawn untill the next day, there are no enemie encounters. I got to the beach area with no encounters and that was a 2 mile slog.

Let us know your thoughts. I had a blast watching the movie knowing the game was coming.

This sounds interesting, do we use the whistle when and where we want? Also are the enemies that spawn completely random then, Type and level?

1. So I'm definitely taking my time with the game. 12 hours in. Just started chapter 3. Gonna go kill me some Deadeye soon.
2. Some of the faster broadsword types, as well as the Masamune.
3. I did not see Bandersnatch yet. No idea if I'm supposed to yet?
4. No idea what finesse is. I just keep doing my thing in battle and hope for the best scores.
5. Couple times I had my ass kicked. First was the hunt with the 5 flans. I was only level 5 or 6 and they were level 14. My fault, really. And the second time was the first time I saw the iron giant at night.
6. I'm really loving the game so far. After the steaming pile that was FF13, this was a welcome change of pace, even if it doesn't necessarily feel like a Final Fantasy game at its core. I'm generally trying to get as much side quest stuff done as I can before moving on with the main story quests. Might mean I'll be over-leveled, but I'm cool with that. And the main characters are great. They're all generally likable. I understand the game changes a bit in later chapters, but right now, this is somewhat channeling the feeling I got playing Final Fantasy 12.
