Chapter 13.....what a terrible terrible TERRIBLE chapter.... Like wth were they thinking.... Cheap scares, MGS/Resident Evil.... Never do that again SE.... God.

I have to say, I've never done a complete 180 on my opinion of my game like I have with this game. I'm not a big Final Fantasy fan so I had no expectations there, and I wasn't someone waiting with bated breath since it was announced as VS. XIII

But my god that second half just left a bitter taste in my mouth. What were they thinking?

I mean, the first half was a light hearted brotrip but then it just took a nosedive into some really sadistic territory very quickly. Not a single moment of levity in that second half and it's needlessly cruel to the characters culminating into the final middle finger to fans where everything's awful, the villain wins, and everyone dies. I get that not everything should end happily but a game shouldn't leave me wondering why I even bothered in the first place. Why did I collect all those gems, save all those chocobos, and soup up my car (R.I.P. my gaudy pink Regalia) if everything goes to shit anyway? There's absoultely zero motivation for me to return and try to finish more sidequests because the ending is so futile. Noctis got a raw deal, man. All that talk about being king one day when in reality his purpose was never to rule but to be a sacrificial lamb.

Yeah, I kept thinking through that chapter this feels like it turned into Resident Evil 6

Be careful with spoilers! Always alert people your about to talk about plot

I dont think I am feeling the magic system at all. I would rather just had something materia-ish

SE sold us a lie....

Finished the main story today, I'll write some thoughts later.

but Chapter 13....what the fuck? seriously, wtf....it does capture survival horror perfectly, I mean you just want it to end but it keeps going...there were times where I let myself think "not much further, I must be close to the end" but no...it's terrible and more importantly why in a Final Fantasy game?

it's like a backstab, can't see it coming...be prepared...

now I need to move to post game but the ending took it's toll, it's hard, still feeling empty.

edit: Unspoilered since Chapter 13 has already been mentioned in this thread and I don't want people to get the idea I was talking about plot with the backstabbing thing.

Chapter 13 is all about gameplay. Nobody could ever imagine what SE has in store...now that I'm thinking, I cannot even remember when I played a gaming segment that bad. Chapter 13 is a gameplay backstab from SE and a particularly disgusting one.

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

Guys. Just because your not being specific, doesnt mean we cant get the sentiment. Keep plot shit on the low. Use spoiler tags for any and everything.

I don't really like the summoning system in Final Fantasy XV; it's completely random. Like I'm reading  what you have to do to summon the astrals but either they aren't correct or the summons are glitched because I could meet therequirements to summon shiva and Ramuh will show up instead. Not only that; most of the time you don't even get a chance to summon anyone. I get that they're really powerful but I'd take slightly weaker summons and being able to use it whenever I want over OP summons and rarely getting to use them but that's just my opinion.

My only slight gripe with the game so far is, there doesn't seem to be enough enemies often enough, I'm a sucker for grinding out XP but I'm struggling to do it on this FF as there's not enough enemies or harder enemies to earn a lot.
I've just got to chapter 3 now but haven't started it, it's clear the map has massively opened up so hopefully the lack of Enemies/monsters to fight will change.
Other than that I'm really enjoying the game a lot.
