I did not deny this fact, I am merely presuming that the biggest factor is price and not ease of use. :) |
Sorry, I misunderstood your comment a bit ^^.

Honestly, it's Bethesda. They will continue to make buggy games. I don't get why people love so much them as developers when they constantly release broken games and hardly fix a lot of huge bugs. The unnoficial patches for Skyrim actualy fix a lot of serious bugs (like quests that get stuck in conditions where you simply can't finish it unless using console commands to fix stuff). If one guy working on it for fun can do it, what's the excuse for Bethesda to simply not address it?
I get that they make some great games, but they simply get a free pass from gamers and critics regarding it. A lot of games end up with 60s on meta because of being releases broken. Skyrim had a total game breaking bug on PS3 and got a 92.

They get a 'free' pass because their games are pretty good and they generally work well enough. For example, I haven't run into any game-breaking bugs in Bethesda's games myself (at least yet). Sure, they're buggy, but for most people, they're still enjoyable despite the bugs. But for some games, bugs can really kill the fun.
Have Skyrim alt-tabbed right now. Took seconds to figure out since a lot of other games struggle with alt-tab, as well.
PC gaming has negatives and positives, just like console gaming. Having to google something might send one person into a frenzy but, then again, some of us would take that trade-off in a heart-beat in exchange for the advantages.

If you have it on PC, you seriously need to install the Unofficial Skyrim Patch plus any Unofficial Patches for the various DLCs you may have.

Seriously, careful modding and tweaking of settings can vastly improve your experience in a number of ways, including stability.

I've spent more in Skyrim than that probably all told. Played it vanilla, played it heavily modded, played it off and on since. Not as much as Oblivion which I played even more :P . I never had many troubles except when I did something I knew was going to put a ton of strain on the engine anyway. When I didn't intentionally tempt fate, I had the game running pretty dang stable. And vanilla after the first patch or so never gave me much of any issues worth noting.

Honestly I probably only did like 50 before I thought screw this game.
Did the OP stuff and it turned boring.

Think that's bad, my bro has done thousands of hours on Civ V. Yes, he has no life.
