Making a comeback by winning a day but losing the entire month? How does that work exactly?

It definitely isn't what it was a year ago...so..it's a comeback?

Last year  x1 won too

Yeah I can definitely see Microsoft saying the xb1 was the top selling 4k Blu-Ray player in their NPD pr to make some people think they won.

Would be quite cute

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

That would be so funny!

Wow! I thought the PS4 Slim + Pro + PSVR would be enough to even beat it.

But I wouldn't say it's impossible, MS Marketing team do what they can to push a positive narrative (and Nintendo and Sony would do similar in the same situation)

I wonder how the XBox S will actually change the demand for UHD Bluray. No matter how low the sales seem to many, it will most probably be the best sold UHD player - combine that with people who also have/bought a 4k TV, the userbase for people who are now able to experience UHD BR is way higher than it would be with only stand-alone players available.

Yeah I think it's almost certain Xbox One S will sell more then any dedicated UHD Player, the demand for UHD blurays just isn't that high. They mostly cost practically double that of a standard Bluray. Other then Cinema Enthusiasts and serious movie buffs I don't think it really appeals at the moment.

Only a niche market at the moment and may never reach mainstream depending on the speed at which Physical Media declines.

We will see but I can also see a push due to the fact that the userbase got significantly higher due to the S. But we will see, streaming is what most prefer nowadays because many don't care for the best picture available.

Considering it's one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest, UHD player and also a very competent gaming machine so I see no reason for it to not be the best seller UHD player. And I would really like that it can spread enough so UHD movies are released more and more on physical media and available for purchase. I won't buy it because in Brazil we don't have the discs to buy yet, but if PS4S and Pro doesn't get a revision for this function and the media start to be available in here I'll buy the console even if for UHD playback and from MS exclusives Forza is at least to my taste.
