PS4 Pro computes about 4 teraflops. Does do true 4k gaming.

Next Xbox coming next year computes 6 teraflops. True 4k gaming and probably much more stable frame rates.

Xbox will have about 50% more power

Peoples interpretation

People think the PS4 pro is just a PS4.5, because, well it is!

The scorpio is backwards compatitble with Xbox One and Xbox 360 games but it is an entirely new console!

PS4 pro well sell well but I dont think it will sell that great after holiday 2017 because it is just seen as an upgraded ps4 (just like xbox one s vs xbox one). Xbox Scorpio will have little competition as being the 'New Thing".

We will see!

Is it tho have Microsoft confirmed there will be Scorpio Exclusive games that wont run on the Xbox One?

And if it is a new Gen, who cares how badly it crushes a supossed last gen console?

Microsoft has said nothing of the sort.  It's the same concept as the PS4 Pro.  Just more powerful.

It could perform noticeably better in games if MS decided to/managed to toss the slow Jaguar cores and go with some real beefy CPU cores. Sony kept them to guarantee 100% effortless and problem-free PS4 compatibility according to Cerny.

Sales performance will be very much decided by price, games and general consumer mood towards the product (maybe by Scorpio launch the Switch-system will be the prefered style of console).

Why I dont think it will:

This year there were deals for the PS4pro at 339$.
Im pretty sure next year the baseline price for the pro will be 349$.

Meanwhile most are guessing the Scorpio will launch at 449-499$.
That 100-150$ price differnce will mean sales of the scorpio wont be as good as you might expect.

Maybe in 2018 things get better for the scorpio? and it outsells the Pro?... but by then there will be so many PS4's out in the wild, that its not like 3rd party are going to ignore the PS4 in favor of the scorpio.

Price matters alot..... Sony designed that PS4pro to be good bang-4-buck, its always going to be cheaper than the scorpio. The more powerfull more expensive console usually doesnt sell the most.

Until there's real confirmation that a ton of 3rd party games will be utilizing the Scorpio's power, I currently don't think the Scorpio will come close to crushing the PS4 Pro.

Some 3rd party are already half-assing their Pro updates, so why would they care about putting even more time and money for the Scorpio.

And the "new" console for next year is just the NS which will likely sell a lot more than the Scorpio (just the Scorpio).  People wont see the Scorpio as a new system.

Scorpio games will be required to run on OG Xbox One consoles. I would not expect dramatic differences between Scorpio and Pro unless you consider the difference between PS4 and Xbox One to be dramatic given there is about a similar difference in power between the two in favor of PS4. Also don't expect high end games like The Witcher III to run in native 4K on Scorpio.

What makes you think people will see it as a whole new console? Personally, I think the ps4 Pro and Scorpio are niche consoles for people who don't mind spending some money to play the exact same games at higher graphics settings. Just like with pc, the difference is never going to be that huge, though, as games will still be designed with the ps4 as the lead console until there comes an official successor to the console.
