Forums - Nintendo - The Vision for Nintendo at Universal Theme Parks

There's going to be a Donkey Kong Mine Cart Coaster, it's just too perfect.

Sadly no Universal in Europe though, I wished they went with Disney just for that. Port Aventura in Spain was Universal for a little while years ago, but not anymore.

Yes, also Port Aventura even though Universal had mantained Port Aventura probably there  wouldn't been a Nintendo zone there, since the park was not part of the "Universal" resorts and didnt't share themes nor rides...

I would have loved a Disney + Nintendo Theme Park too, but it was too difficult.

I hope they have an F-Zero roller coaster, a Luigi's Mansion-themed funhouse, a Zelda ride, a Star Fox-themed shooting gallery, just pretty much an attraction for every Nintendo IP if at all possible!

Oh god, I can already see it... a Splatoon paintball court!

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

With Donkey Kong in the front car, and King K. Rool following him in the very back!

And a Nintendo-themed gift shop, where you walk in and here this:

Wow, looks like the preparations are well under way. I look forward to seeing more in the future, and see what kinda cool attractions they will have

Wasn't much but still excited. Did they ever say what they would scrap in Orlando? Or did they end up buying additional land?

Nothing announced as yet, they have bought additional land. They're definitely building a new theme park. Whether Nintendo goes in there, or replaces an existing part of another park has not been announced yet.

I'd personally like to see it go where Kidzone is in Universal Studios. Keep ET, but everything else (including the Animal Actors stage) is dated and unpopular. Kill it all.

http://worldofuniversal.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/2-19.png <- Blue is the existing parks, green is the new land they've purchased.

Note that they're also tearing down Wet n Wild (they're building a new water park, Volcano Bay, to replace it), so something could go in that space. Waterparks are often smaller than theme parks, so maybe a Nintendo minipark?

Oh, and it's quite likely that Orlando will be the last park to receive anything Nintendo (except like a gift store, or a character meet and greet). Osaka will be first, followed by Hollywood. Orlando won't be seeing anything until the 2020s, I would bet.
