MS owns the IP don't they? they could get anyone to touch it up a bit.

Look at the hair, lightning reflections, glove/face textures ect. Shadows, godrays,...
obviously its for free else everyone would rage, and honestly they should, many games have improved the quality of their game along the line, sometimes small sometimes big (like the witcher 1 and 2 with the enhanced editions) anyway, good stuff for people that care about this game

I'm not bothered by them anyway. The game offers a hell of a lot more than SFV on launch day and it a much better game. Adore this game. Maybe one of my fave KOF games. Outlaws of the Lost Dynasty didn't look as good as Darkstalkers but was still a damn fine game.

Personally, I always thought the game looked fine. No it wasn't a technical show piece but it had strong art direction, good animation, and sufficiently detailed stages from what I have seen. No it didn't hold up in cutscene type things but then...it's a fighting game.
