Sony is very good at creating a "format" ... not just a console.

This is something that Nintendo hasn't understood since the days of the Super NES.

Lol @ nintendo comments

Both playstation and Nintendo have a ridiculous variety of genres to play. Sony simply offers more 'mature' games.

I haven't compared the 2 but I know Sony is more willing to publish fresh new IPs.

i mean, not like Ninty really needs to. Splatoon is a hit success, so I see them making 1/2 new IP's a gen. As of now they can work with:

-Mario

-Legend of Zelda

-Kirby

-Pokemon

-Donkey Kong

-Etc

But you know what they need to do instead of making new ones? Use their old ones.i

Screw it, this should be a new thread convo.

Eh, I dunno about that. Nintendo's pretty diverse as well. Just looking at the Wii U/3DS lineup for the past 5 years, you have adventure, JRPGs, SRPGs, platformers, real time strategy...things (whatever Pikmin is), platformers, team shooters, hack and slashes, fighting games, racing games, platformers, party games, rail shooters, open world titles...and more platformers. Y'know, maybe Nintendo gets too chubby on the platformers at times...

In all seriousness, while the Wii U certainly has struggled with getting games, the games it has gotten have certainly haven't been confined to any small group of genres, tones, settings, or ESRB ratings. I'd make the case that the titles on their platforms are just as, if not more, diverse than Sony's. Big problem is there's so few of them.

This gen not really. The tastes of sony fans have become very mainstream in recent years. Genres like jrpgs, fighters or most Japanese games in general don't do nearly as well as they did on the ps1-3. Not only that but sony realizes that so they develop and market stuff like uncharted and watch dogs way more than gravity Rush and persona

When it comes to diversity Nintendo is one dimensional. They have some nice exclusives but that's also questionable with lots of Mario games (super Mario, Mario kart, Mario party, Mario maker etc)Xbox tries to do a little better with its first party games and good third party support. PS4 has best third party games with great first party games. To be honest PC does best compared to all of these. But in the console arena PS4 is the undisputed champion when it comes to diversity.

This seems like a very broad generalization with no real substantive data or logic backing it up.Setting aside the unfortunate fact that Nintendo feels that everything has to have Mario plastered on it in order for it to sell well, three out of those four Mario games are very different genres. Microsoft is also pretty diverse when it comes to games simply on the console; it's just those games tend to attract less attention due to userbase and, as of this gen, sales differences. You can make the argument that Microsoft's fanbase is perhaps less into "diverse" gaming, but that really has less to do with the company and more with the consumers.

Well, obviously the PlayStation consoles are going to be more diverse when they sell more. I am mainly a PlayStation fan because I grew up with the PS1 and PS2 and still love them dearly.

What you said makes no sense.

OT: You are correct Playstation fans buy Anime,Shooting,Fighting,Roleplay e.t.c while the other competition doesn't. Anyone who says Playstation people are not the most diverse are in denial as its a fact.

Playstation gets full third party support. Just because someone is a Playstation fan that doesn't mean he's also a Sony fan. I know a lot of guys who own a PS4 that aren't interested in any of Sony's games.

Nintendo's consoles are mostly supported by themselves or Japanese third party studios who make similar games.

Nintendo fans buy a wide varriety of games actually:

Anime: Fire Emblem, Pokémon

Shooting: Splatoon, Metroid

Fighting: Super Smash Bros., Pokkén Tournament (outsold Street Fighter V ;))

Roleplay: Pokémon, Fire Emblem, Golden Sun, Earthbound/Mother, Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi

I couldn't agree more, PlayStation users are just the better humans in general. It took me 20 years to realize that but now I can see it, gave in and chose the way of light, the path of the righteous man, where pure happiness and greatness awaits thee who decided for the right company to spend their money to.

Instead of trying to start something why not answer the op correctly (like I don't agree because...., I can't agree with you because...., how can you say that when (insert argument)), as far as I see the op isn't "mumu playstation gamers mumu better humans mumu" so why start with that?
