And cost of labour?

Edit: I thought it was only parts. But I see no monitor or controller. Also, cheaper games? We're not in 2010 anymore.

consoles come with a display? that's new, you can use any controller on pc, from $5 to a  $1,000 controller. And well, I bought skyrim special edition for free, just like bioshock remastered, while those  games cost $60 on consoles. go to steam or g2a, you're going to be surprised. I mean, I just bought a Dishonored 2 key for 38 bucks.

I'm sorry but who doesn't have a TV? So add the price of a monitor and $40 for a DS4.

You can get Dishonored 2 for $35 on the PS4 on Amazon and that's physical.

And no, you did not get Skyrim Special Edition for free. I can't get it for free on my laptop for example.

People used to say PC is cheaper because games used to release for $50 on it. Not so much anymore.

Yet I only have to buy a 200€ GPU to upgrade my PC instead of buying a whole console for 400€. I wonder if people know that you can just replace parts of a PC instead of buying a whole new one every upgrade.

Here is a PC for $479 (get the $22 Windows 10 deal) that will outperform a PS4 Pro.

It's got:

A processor that shits all over the Pro's processor

A better GPU

A Blu Ray drive

A keyboard and mouse

1TB HDD

8GB of Ram

Everything the Pro offers and more for $479.

Please stop with these delusional comparisons.

No monitor, no controller, no speaker, no labour cost/time factored in. And I'm no expert but should there be a fan somewhere in there?

well in fairness, you can trade in your OG PS4, for a PS4Pro for a discounted price. Can shave off over a $120 with the original, making it $280 total for the Pro.

toss in some other physical games that you don't play anymore and maybe you can take it under $200

Are you trolling?

You can't be serious, can you?

Does the PlayStation come with a monitor or speakers?

A computer is controlled with a mouse and keyboard which is included in the price.

The case comes with a fan.

Labor?  Are you kidding me?

You clearly don't have a clue as to what you're talking about so I'll just stop before I get in trouble.

As you can do with your previous GPU.

Price battles are silly and only show the insecurities of some people. I mean if PS4 Pro can't be the best in both price and performance it must be trash right? Completely ignoring that PCs are a completely different entities with their own advantages. But it can't be, right? If Consoles are better at price/performance they must be the best at everything and are instantly better than everything else. Right? Price/performance is the only thing that matters and everyone who buys an expensive PC is stupid. Right? Console people are cleverest people. Right? That's why these threads exist. Right? To prove who is betterer at buying stuff. Right?

For fairness' sake, it's not like consoles come with a TV/monitor for usage. The speaker (assuming it doesn't come built in), controller, and labor cost are reasonable points though.

O/T: Call me a filthy graphics casual, but I really don't see much of a noticeable difference between the regular PS4, PS4 Pro, or PC, even when watching the side by side comparison between the first two. I feel like we're well past the point of decreasing returns on improved graphical fidelity.

If you want to play every game on your computer with a mouse and keyboard, sure. Many people don't, however, and that's where the potential for a controller cost comes in. Off the top of my head, I certainly wouldn't want to play titles like Dark Souls, Metal Gear Solid V, or Devil May Cry 4 without a controller. Time cost of money is also a significant concern, at least for people who aren't familiar with PC building.

Just as a friendly head's up, it's often worth your while to at least attempt to be friendly with random people, even if you think they're absolutely clueless.
